Have you not noticed that there is a major war on in the Ukraine which pushes up fuel and fertilizer, eggs hitting 14 dollars per dozen in NZ and fertilizer doubling in price pushing up vegetables globally, it's not just Thailand but is world wide. have a look at Macro and market village imported foods they are dearer than in the country they came from, not counting that the Thai govt is Taxing them to death as comfort foods as well. The situation in NZ is so bad for pensioners that they are selling their homes , taking out reverse mortgages and moving into rest home villages as they can not afford food and petrol, rates, power and internet charges.

Borrowing rates to fall to one %, house mortgages are about 5.5% does this mean they will drop to 4.5% or what borrowing are they talking about. And yes the currency would normally devalue but this probably wont or never happens in Thailand as they want to milk incoming tourists. And keep import costs down.
