  1. Ajarn.com just had an update from our Dept that a directive was issued today. It states no tourists can have back to back tourist visas now under any circumstances at any entry point, land or air. Info has always been very reliable from our source. Seems like this is a response to the much publicised issues on ThaiVisa.com from the weekend.

That's great news. Thanks for posting.

  2. Getting married and having a beautiful son is the best thing i ever did here, no more border runs and sweating on being let back in.

Back on topic i can see laos and Cambodia to start to become crowded as a lot of falang will find after being refused entry back here very hard to return to there own countries.

As long as you are following the legal route, no problem.

  3. Wonder what will happen to all those foreigners that are married, have children, but don't have enough money to get a Non-Imm visa based on marriage.

Will Immigration start splitting up families?

    I hope so.

These guys should have thought about the correct visa before getting married and having kids.

A little forward planning/saving may have helped them here.

You hope that families are split up??

    You are a dreadful person.

What about the kids losing their father.... their fault as well eh????

Your bitterness is unique and I m glad I don't think I have had to suffer meeting someone with your thought process.

Maybe one day we will see you back on here whining because your own category is being rinsed by the xenophobic Thai immigration.

My personal opinion is live and let live, these people are seldom terrible people whom probably do no harm to anyone, and you wish them a downfall??

More like Thailand needs rid of people like YOU!!!!

    Cry me a river.

It's simple. Stop breaking the law and get a proper visa and then these people can live with their wife and kids.

If they don't get the correct visa, no mercy.

  4. I dont really understand why people get angry about that new rules.

The only reason might be, that people abusing re-entry visas for a permanent stay considered this procedure as a privilege.

They should ask themselves, what would happen to their country, if everybody from all neighboring and other nations could stay permanently by simply doing a visa-run every 30 days ?

In Schengen countries and even in Ukraine, where many visa runners come from, the 90 days in 180 days rule is used.

    Yep..agree with this.

Get the right visa and stop whinging like a bunch of little girls.

  5. Good one….they shouldn't be encouraging homosexuality.

Can you tell me what the results would be were they to 'encourage' homosexuality? Would people who were previously straight suddenly decide to turn gay?

Can you see any circumstances where, after reading a book about penguins, you would suddenly decide to become gay?

Have you ever taken any classes in logic? If so you ought to ask for your money back.

Best to get the message across that homosexuality isn't right.

By allowing books with gay messages to kids then there is the risk that kids grow up thinking it is OK.

  6. now Brazilians can sing; 'la la la la la la bomba!' ....as in bombing out.

If I was in Brazil right now, I'd grab the prettiest sobbing lady and whisper in her ear: "Don't worry bambina, I've got something that will take your attention off that sad defeat."

I think they'd be interested in something a bit more substantial than a cocktail sausage.

  7. Not that simple! Everyone has memory lapses, or personal emergencies that could create an overstay for a day or two. There are many false arrests. Just being in the wrong place at the wrong time with a group you hardly know. With the new proposed law it appears if you are an overstay for one day and arrested you are black balled for 5 years! Can you imagine having a family here, owning a condo, owning a business, having fixed savings accounts. That could crush most future foreign investment! I really want to hear about the property recovery procedure after the arrest. I have lived in several foreign countries over the last 18 years and to my knowledge no other country has similar harsh penalties. Many try to encourage foreign investment You would think differently if you were over 65!

How difficult is it to remember when you have to leave the country.

If you can't remember this then you shouldn't even have a passport.

  8. I respect peoples decisions whatever it may be

I don't have kids, not married don't intend to either

But don't have this high and almighty attitude because you have kids such as "you haven't experienced life until you have kids" type comments

Good post. I agree with this.
