Never had a problem with DHL.
My last package from Laos to HK was with me in less than 20 hours.

Success = happiness for me. As long as I ain't hurting anyone, and I'm happy, then I think I'm successful.

Left Thailand after 10 years there in 2007. Was a great place and made many friends there. As well as many unforgettable experiences. However, personally, I found towards the end I was just drifting along, in the same old job, doing the same thing and not really challenging myself. A bit of a rut really. On top of the fact that I found Thailand had changed for the worse slightly (or maybe I was really thinking that I had changed/or needed to change), I decided to move on.
Leaving certainly had the effect of dragging me out of my complacency and forcing me to do new stuff.
I guess if I hadn't decided to leave I'd still be doing the same thing in BKK, still singlle, as the clock kept ticking.
Now I'm in HK, married to a lovely Lao lady, have a 3 week old son and have a plot of land in Vientiane where we are building a small house.
Overall, Thailand was great but on a personal level, I had to move on to new challenges.

Watch yourself. If you don't pay then she will be pissed. Who knows what will happen. Make sure you get your kid and then get outta there. You don't wanna get hurt or even worse, have her hurt your kid.

I moved to Thailand originally because of the pussy and also because I couldn't handle life in the boring west.

A few years ago, my mid-morning snack consisted of a 7/11 hot dog, a bar of cadbury dairy milk and an M150.

Laos was a French colony. It seems logical to me that the French settlers would have interbred with the locals. It seems logical to me that hundreds or thousands of Laotians should now have French surnames.
Just been in Laos trying to get a passport for my newborn son. The police wouldn't stamp the passport as he had a foreign name. So we had to go back to the hospital and get the birth certificate changed so he had a Lao name.

Gotta laugh at the OP. He talks of the person he is referring to as undereducated.
Now, how many grammatical and punctuation mistakes are there in his post?
Nice one you pathetic <deleted>.

Some jerks are so preocupied with breasts that they ignore the fact the people are dying. I have no idea why people are so callus.
Edit callus means stupid jerk without a heart and needed to correct spelling.
I wouldn't be so quick to hassle those breasts and the people that like them if I was you. They could be your lifeline if swept away in a flood and you were looking for some kind of flotation device to hold on to.

I just read that in Laos it is illegal for native girls to have relations with foreigners outside of marriage! WOW. Laos will never be the next Thailand that's for sure...
:jap: Thank the good lord for that :jap:

Did anyone ever figure out who all the people were on the big banner with the picture of Hitler, planes, and 9 people seig heiling? Looks like Osama, Thaksin, Mao... maybe Che? Bush?
Top line far left = John Lennon (A prominent Nazi)
Bottom line far right = David Beckham (Renowned for his fascist right foot)
Top line far right = Mr Bean (The cornerstone of the Thai education system)
Good work! Puts a different slant on these students or whomever the creative elements were. Notice Mr. Bean's 'special' version of the Sieg Heil and that they have been given the famous mustache treatment - very stylish. I'm surprised that Bush the younger isn't among them. Earlier I had a flash that it could have been members of the school faculty, but I was pretty sure the kids would not have risked it (but probably considered it). Am too tired to pursue the remaining UBNs (Unidentified Banner Nazis). Lower left could be Bin Laden and not The Grand Mufti. Volunteers?
Ok then, who would you nominate as a prime candidate for a good Nazi and should appear in that poster?
Why didn't they portray our Mr Thaksin in there and to be honest I think Rowan Atkinson should be hung for crimes against humanity. I've had to suffer years of mental torture with my kids watching his stupid Mr Bean shows.
Now this is between you and me, I did find that Thai student girl dressed in full Nazi uniform as a bit of a turn on. I wonder how much she charges for a full hour or interrogation under stress?
Agreed. That young lass in her Nazi uniform almost made me wish I was a jew...to be used and abused at her sadistic discretion.

If you don't try you'll always wonder if it would have worked out.
Give it a go and be careful.

There is going to be war people. Sooner or later.
Be very afraid.
Get out while you still can. It will be very bloody and the bullets and bombs won't distinguish between Thai and Farang.

No replies from the OP for a while.
Think the local hood has slit him from crutch to crown already.
Is This Hypocrisy?

If someone I know is anti lese majeste laws because the don't allow for freedom of speech, and then the same person reports one of my anti-red shirt posts on Thai Visa because they didn't like what I said (and my post got deleted), is this hypocrisy?
