  1. Every country has to deal with what happens to it's tourists. The problem here in Thailand is the blame game... people are blaming eachother, the law doesn't work.

Sure you could do some research before you come here but that seems like a way to blame the tourist. How many people need to die for people here to take responsibility.

The real Thai culture offers genuine kindness and openess, how can you say you still present that when you blame the foreigners for their own deaths.

The website is to handle the grief and also to warn others. I bet if several Thais died abroad that the relatives would do everything to find out what happened. The difference is that it would be investigated.

Stop blaming eachother and start working together. If someone tries to get away with this then the Thais and the foreigners should work together to boycott it.

The hotel in Chiang Mai is closed down because of the publicity, who wants to go to a hotel which uses pestocide like it waterpaint?

What has happened is a tragedy but the people behind it should be held responsible and we all need to work together no matter the skincolor or culture.

  2. I believe Bangkok Bank is the best bank for this. I remember i opened the account with Siam Commercial Bank and wanna transfer money abroad. Siam Commercial has to transfer through the oversea hub of Bangkok Bank and made me pay extra fee. Another bank will be Kasikorn they are quite effective and the fee is less than Siam Commercial.

  3. I went to Bangkok smile dental clinic on Asoke road i know their rate is a bit higher than normal. But i trusted their qualified doctors and i'm happy with the result. They have the price put on their website. www.bangkoksmiledental.com

  4. Soi Ari would be a great location for you. The neighbourhood is filled with nicely decorated apartment and good restuarants. The rent is reasonable, easy to travel to work and anywhere else by BTS. Another location would be Chong-Non sri. You can also travel to work by BTS but Chong non sri is a lil bit further up. What i like about Chong non-sri is the neighbourhood is not so busy in the night time. Chong non sri is also close to silom and Sathon area which are the business areas in Bangkok. The rent here could be a lil more expensive than that in Chong non sri but you can expect more service and privacy as well.

  5. travelling by BTS or MRT will save you a lot of money. Buy monthly card it will save you even more. I think 1500 baht a month will do for MRT/BTS even if you will be travelling a lot. The sum could add up if you travel by cab.

  6. cleaning for 250 Baht? I'm starting to be afraid of their sterilization system. Cleaning can go really wrong if their instruments are not clean, there is always a lot of blood involved with teeth cleaning. Infection control is the key i guess. I would pay more for a quality and safety.

  7. Having amalgam fillings changed can actually give you hell. I mean i used to discuss this with my dentist and she advised me not to take an unnecessary risk. If the amalgam filling is not deep, the only complication seems to be temporary sensitivity of the tooth. If that amalgam is very deep, the tooth nerve could be irritated in the amalgam removal process. That means you could have some severe pain which eventually leads to a root canal treatment. Come on, we are talking about a root canal! Not just that, but after a root canal you will need a cap because a root canal tooth is weak . By the way,They say chewing gum increases the Mercury release rate of amalgam filling.

  8. There are many qualified doctors in Bangkok and also there are clinics and hospitals which i wouldn't say i totally "trust". You can call me paranoid but we never know whats going on with their infection control system,so i alwaysh pick the good places around Sukhumvit or Silom areas. Even if the treatment fee is a lil higher than standard Thailand but i can be quite sure i won't get any undesired complications or infection after. Here are the lists of those hospitals and clinics i used to go to. check them out
