Thank you again - and I understand and agree with everything as above.

So, the last thing I ask for (for completeness - and the ability to kill off the next thread in which someone says you have to carry your passport) is the legal reference that states "all people in Thailand (Thai or Foreign) must carry government issued Photo ID. "

Now THAT, must exist and if necessary I will search the Civil & Commercial Code again tomorrow.

"Government issued photo ID". In the case of a foreigner, would that be Thai government issued ID or the foreigner's "home" government issued ID?

How is immigration / Banks dealing with that? Any issues?

At the present time, Immigration have either failed to notice or don't care. The bank took my word for it that the name on my passport was incorrect and accepted my explanation. It was the hospital that initially picked it up when requested to provide my COVID vaccination "passport". Two vaccinations were recorded under my correct name and one was recorded under the incorrect name shown on my passport.

  3. Back in March this year I advised Her Majesty's Passport Office in UK that they had issued my latest passport (my seventh) with my name spelt incorrectly. It took until July to convince HMPO that I could not return said incorrectly issued passport for re-issue as I was required to carry my passport "at all times" in Thailand as proof of identity. (HMPO are perfectly aware (or should be aware) of this rule in Thailand but they procrastinated their acceptance of it).

HMPO eventually agreed that I could return the previous, cancelled, passport together with another application (without payment obviously). It is now almost December and I have only received confirmation that the replacement passport is being "processed".

do you remember where  I can locate the ''how to'' (in plain English by a TV member) ? Ive been doing it by EMS post, since  for ever. would like to bring myself up to date. tia.

I'm not sure that this is plain English but.....

Log on to their "new" website here:

    https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login

    You should get this:

    Log-in.jpg.7c3830d8c42b25903ffe6f2cd5fd41d1.jpg

If you haven't got an account then you will need to apply. I can't remember the rest of the application process but it was pretty straight forward. Once you've applied you will get an email with your password.

Back to the login page where you enter your email address and the password provided. Then input that "capture" thingy set of letters.

You should then see the login page, viz:

    1198823145_90dayapp.jpg.71f04c0f8be501835dca1320969715d0.jpg

Complete the form using the dropdown boxes for "nationality" and the dates. Ignore the "contact person" stuff. Tick the red box and then you will be able to proceed.

Press "submit" and you should receive an acknowledgement email almost immediately advising that your submission is "Pending".

After a day or so you will receive an email advising of approval and an attached receipt showing your next report date. Print this out for your passport or put the image in your phone.

[After you have successfully reported once you may then use the "refresh button". You only need to input your passport number and nationality then press the magnifying glass and the remainder of the form will be completed automatically.]

Remember you can only report on line between 14 days before and the actual date of the previous 90 day expiry date.

I don't think they considered that people would want to change their email address on the system.

Personally I don't think many people would want to change their email address on the site.

I didn't want to change my email address but the provider ("cscoms.com") is shutting up shop so it was a necessity. Luckily cscoms advised me of this prior to the new on-line system being launched so I registered with my alternate email address.

Thx, that means from yesterday it would be approved on Saturday, and as Saturday they  are closed it will be Monday the earliest.

I will wait till the end of the day today and if not approved I will cancel it and will drive up to Immigration tmrw.

I would wait until at least Monday, you should have plenty of time. Albeit my 90 day is processed in Surin it has taken anywhere in the region of 5 hours to 5 days to be approved. Applying in person is permitted up to 7 days after the due date.

I wait 5+ days after email, what is the hurry

I received my reminder email at 01:03 this morning. My due date is 2nd November 2022. I don't intend to submit the TM47 until next week. As you say, there's no rush. My only concern would be that I have sufficient time to submit in person should the on-line facility be down/discontinued. And given that I have 7 days longer to submit in person that should never be a problem.

But she is a tremendous player - she won a professional match on the Men's Tour last month against a player ranked 70 or so. She could be a real force in snooker for the next decade, if things go well.

Yes, she beat Mitchell Mann 4 - 2 in The Northern Ireland Open Qualifiers. She'll face either Ricky Walden (seeded 16) or Ziao Guodong in the best of 7 last 64 in Belfast.

    That is weird

Under the amount of the FT rate there should ALSO be a Minus amount? Do you have that?

And under the total units used (on the left hand side) there should be in Thai that you got a a Discount and the amount!

    fttable.JPG.9572f5c1be8e026cd38032bf4c270184.JPG

This is the discount table, if you did not get the discount then you should talk to the PEA why you didn't get it.

Sorry for any arithmetic errors ????

Can you post your PEA Bill (obscure any personal info)

There is no minus amount. We have had minus amounts for the last few months but not this one.

I believe that the reason for zero discount is that last month my wife changed the name of the houseowner (something she's been intending to do for 15 years!). There is a note to that effect on the bill and it states the discount will be applied October to December.

While the residential section is party correct there are a couple of rather glaring errors. You define the supply as up to 15 amps and over 15 amps. The PEA makes no such difference, the meters are rated by the guaranteed accuracy of the supply that is measured in amps. Also the general limit for an accurately metered domestic supply is 300 amps from a 30/100 amp supply at 3 phase (where it is available)

the second supposed supply is not domestic but Small General Service , that is the one with the ฿46.16 standing charge

So while your spreadsheet may have calculated the charges correctly  you certainly did not get the labels for fields acutely named.

the pink fields are inaccurately labelled, the math may be accurate, I didn’t check it.

Perhaps you could assist me in the labelling for the future.

The information therein was gleaned from the head man in PEA Surin because not one of the other employees there had a clue on how the domestic electricity bill was calculated (6 years ago).

This calculator has worked for me to confirm the accuracy my bill for the last six years (within a few satang). I have a 30/100 supply/meter, single phase.

I attach a copy of last month's bill.
