  1. There are some advisors who do this since many years, and they know a lot about investments, risks, etc.

Some even have qualifications from respectable organizations.

But all of them make their money from commissions. And it is crazy how much commission is paid for some products.

Sometimes the commissions for the agents are way higher than the (expected) profit for the clients.

I guess one needs a strong character to not get influenced by high commissions.

This one is guaranteed to draw the geniuses out the woodwork, all of which likely have an irrelevant IQ of 150+ and yet no-one can come up with the simple answer...

... to not start stoopid topics 😛

No, people like that don't waste their time defining again what was already defined and arguing about it with average people.

  3. What is the point of lots of people, most without specialty knowledge, to define intelligence?

I prefer to look how experts defined it. Because then, when we talk about intelligence, we all talk about the same thing and not about different things which we individually decided to call intelligence.

    Intelligence - Wikipedia

And obviously more intelligent people are not by definition better people. They are more intelligent, maybe in only some areas. And that's it.

  4. I bought big size jeans in Robinson a couple of years ago. Then I visited them again, they didn't have them anymore.

Then I searched online and found exactly the same jeans with the size I needed in Lazada for maybe 20% of the original price. It seems they had them there as a rest sale because nobody wanted that size. I bought them all, I think 5 pairs. 😉

Using the holes drilled in the metal extrusion as a template🧐

    Yes, but...

The metal is in my case aluminum, those holes could be ruined fast.

That would require to have the metal already in exactly the right place fixed on the wall...

    Thanks for all your answers.

I will go with the aluminum on wood on wall method. At least in my case I think that is the best option.

You can look, but don't even thinking of touching. Such activity would get them thrown out of the group- they ain't allowed boyfriends even. Fans are allowed to have photos taken with them, for a price.

I'd like to attend a Love Live concert, 40,000 fans waving glow sticks. They even cater for foreigners to attend.

As far as I know they have, or at least had, some meet and touch sessions with other famous girls in Japan. They seem to have lot of specialized events and places for anybody's taste.

Yes, forum will be down today/this evening as well, to do part 2 of the maintenance. It's a huge forum database that must be moved and it will take hours, and database must be offline when work is in progress.

I work with computers, and with databases, since decades.

And when I read something like above, then I have my doubts.

How big can a database for a forum be? Not huge!

If it is so big, can't all old data, i.e. everything until last month or last year, be transferred first, and only a little new data later offline?

If you do it right it isn't that complicated and it isn't that time consuming.

The best way would be to use the cabinet fitters technique of contouring the back of a wood strip to the wall, while @Crossys idea of using a piece of hardwood is partly correct, used in his suggested way it will no longer be straight if you are putting screws through it, into air, then into the wall. That will almost always either immediately or over time cause the wood to bend, you may have success if the wood is about 200mm+ square but even then a bend is possible, for the vast majority of uses the bend would be insignificant but for @OneMoreFarangs purposes it would be likely to bend his profile.

    Thanks

The way I understood is to take a straight piece of wood and put it with, let's say, 5 screws on a wall.

If the wood is straight and the wall not, then there will be some screws with no gap to the wall and other screws with maybe 5mm or 10mm gap between the wood and the wall. Then fill those gaps, i.e. with little pieces of wood, and then you have a straight piece of wood on a not so straight wall.

Perfect, just missing life experience, you can have her 15 years, and then I take over

My wife had a few western relationship experience, so for me it have been a walk in the park, no need for any training or corrections, and with far les expectations than one in her prime 20ies

Can say she as well broken in, and appreciates me as I am, and no high unrealistically expectations

I had to train my young girlfriend, and I did that exactly the way I wanted it.

Now she is still together with me - mostly well trained. 😉

Guys, here is the final update so please neglect the post above. I have just installed the SSO Connect Mobile app and was able to log in which means we still can use this app. (Mods, please let's somehow emphasize that this is the valid piece of info if this huge font isn't allowed).

Thanks to you I tried to log in with SSO Connect app and can log in now. However, I am not sure how can you count on pension of 5000 THB if you retire at 60 and 4000 THB if you retire at 55. I started contributing in 2018 and I can see on the app I have around 42000 THB so you may be at around 100K THB so far considering you started contributing in 2008. According to my understanding this monthly figure will increase in time and we can take it out when we are 55 or 60 but we are limited to this figure. For example, my father in law worked for 20 years (he is Thai) and at 55 he had around 120K THB so he was entitled to this money and could have chosen to take it all out at once or to receive it monthly. Could you please explain on what ground you expect to receive 5000 THB i.e. 4000THB a month? Can we contribute more than we do?

The app's name goes exactly like this: SSO Connect Mobile and below the app name it is written Bossup Solution Co., Ltd. Let me know if you still can't find it and I will make a screenshot and send it to you.

When I search on my Android phone I find SSO+ Social Security Office Thailand.

    I didn't install it yet.

    Is that the one?

Don't look at it as 70 million voting FOR Trump. Look at it from the point of view that they voted against Washington that they hate and despise.

I voted against the last lot in NZ because I hated and despised them and they were not even half as bad as the Washington establishment.

    In part I understand that.

But then, is there no better way to protest vote than voting for a serial liar maniac? He could do real damage.

Yes, there is a swamp in Washington, and the idea to remove it is good. But is voting for the GOP and Trump the way to do that? NO
