  1. Well. Fact is Brendan isn't having a cheap shot. He's talking a little bit openly to the press who will encourage him to shoot his mouth off.

Brendan's worried about van Gaal and 3-1 in Miami has seeded the doubt in his mind.

Redrus speaks the truth. Van Gaal has done it all over Europe in his first year.

    Mourinho knows the score.

Me thinks no. Brendan was being frank and if anything was giving advice to LGV. We may have lost that game in pre season but I could tell the way Sterling was running Jones and smalling ragged that united would be in trouble this year. Today has proven that.

The best thing about today is all the press who have been creaming over United in pre season will be looking a bit stupid right now. I haven't seen anything to suggest United have improved. The only decent players they have are probably Januzaj who looks like he's just about hit puberty and Lingard.

  2. L ight G oods V ehicle......... Snigger.

Is that really the best you can come up with, or have you been so preoccupied by the world Cup this summer, that your professional demeanour has been lost in the ether, leaving you unable to do your day job properly.

Pull the other one, its got bells on......!

Sorry but what does any of that even mean? Are you and p56 that infatuated with LFC that you post in here more than the united thread? 5555 come on tell us honest now.

Clutching at straws mate. But keep clutching if it makes you feel better.
I think you are sticking your head in the sand mate , like a lot of UNITED fans did last season.

Van Gaal is going to give Liverpool a hard time. And City, and Chelsea.

Sticking my head in the sand based on what exactly? LGV being appointed manager at United or a pre season game?

Fact is he's leaving it late to bring anyone in due to having been preoccupied with the World Cup all season. Most of the dross from last season is still there. Your defence is probably the worst it's been in over 15 years and there is little depth in midfield.

    Keep dreaming anyway mate. 55555

  4. think even if they are able to fix their back line it's going to take them quite a bit of time to settle as they are leaving it until late in the window to bring someone in. At the moment they look pretty good upfront, average in midfield with very little depth, and their back 3/4 looks weak. If they hit the ground running they should be able to compete for top 4, fortunately I don't see that happening as Van Gaal has been distracted with the world cup and hasn't had a proper preseason to get things the way he would like. They are aided by an easy first 6 matches, however they will feel a great deal of pressure to get 3 points in all of them and if they start off with a draw/loss against Swansea I could see things going down hill fast. The other interesting thing is the promoted sides often spring a few surprises as they are a bit of an unknown , and the worst time to play them is early in the year when they are unknowns and late in the season when they are battling relegation

  6. Think he can say what he likes tbh. LGV has never proven himself in the league and it's been a long time since he's done anything notable at club level.

On Reina I have a lot of respect for him. He was at his peak the best keeper id seen play for us since Ray Clemence and he stuck by us during some tough times. He did however make himself look like a <deleted> when he paraded himself to Barca. Overall though he's been a good servant so am glad he will get the chance to hook up with Pep finally.

  7. I agree with Starky that Pit Bulls are no more dangerous than any other breed if raised correctly.  My neighbor and his wife back in the States adopted one from a Rescue Society, and he turned out to be one of the most affectionate and playful dogs you could ever meet.  And he was terrified of one of my cats.  But that's ok, as most dogs were afraid of that particular cat as well. lol.  His name was Bruno, and he loved to play fetch with a tree branch damn near as big as my leg.  You definitely can't paint all PB''s with the same brush.

I once saw a pitbull take some flowers over to its owner. Awwww

Does not change the fact that they are dangerous and have killed people. Wake up.
  8. A clarification from Bangkok this time:

"He added that starting from August 29, foreigners who failed to produce their passports would be fined up to Bt20,000 and jailed for up to two years."

The fact that it says "failed to produce" and not "failed to carry on their person." is just more proof that this is much to do about nothing, because it is the exact same wording they have always used. The police have always defined "able to produce." as in if it's at home or the office, someone brings it to you while you wait if for some reason they don't accept your PP photocopy and or Thai DL.

So why can't we just use the same rule for fail to carry? Ie come back to my hotel to see.
  9. I doubt there will be an explosion in local theft, yet with the increased number of passports on the streets will undoubtedly lead to an increase in random lost and stolen passports.  This must be good news for local international crime rings, since one of the tools they require are passports.  On the other hand, for tourists losing a passport, replacements are issued within days.  In smaller terms, the inconvenience is not much of an issue.  The policy of checking passports at check points will police against the random overstay, but unless a passport is required when paying the ticket - B2000 will be your getaway ticket.

Can you expand more on what the process is for me as a uk citizen if I lose my passport in Thailand? I suppose I need to be aware of that now in light of the new rules.
  10. Nothing as far as I can tell but it may friend on how your account is set up. I live in the uk and use line here. When in Thailand I have a local sim and my old contacts remain. I do however have my account tied to my email address so that may be an option. Not sure what happens if it's tied to your SIM. Could be like whatsapp where the app asks you if you want to associate your new number with the app in which case I just select no.

  11.

So are tourists here for two weeks now meant to take their passports to the beach, trekking through the jungle or in a soapy massage??

Or a copy certified by immigration. And don't forget to find a jungle police while trekking since you're changing your residence constantly.

The immigration offices are going to get real cramped if all of this actually starts. The stock price for Double-A might skyrocket, though.

Can this be done when said tourist enters the country? If so I don't see the problem but I don't really want to be carrying around my passport everywhere.

  12. I would not worry at all and simply come visa exempt. I presume you fly out again within 30 days?

Correct. In total I am staying in the country for around 21 days.

Id be more worried about being rained upon on my visit,Merry christmas.laugh.png

Why would it be raining at that time of year? I've come here every year at the same time for the last 4 years and I haven't seen any rain at all bar the odd evening in Phuket.
