Another case showing in full public that Thailand is not a country of justice if you are wealthy enough or well connected

If he holds a permanent resident card in Australia for political reasons it should be obvious not to send him back to where he fled from. I don't see how this can be resolved between others than Thailand and Australia!
The Thai reaction seems to be politicized or at least purely considered and now they are getting into a big dilemma for not just doing the obvious by sending him home to the country that adopted him.

Rip the poor cyclist, even more sad that he has approximately 37 fellow road kill victims per day in Thailand as per official numbers from October 1st. And I believe much more in reality.

Im happy that sharks are doing well but it must be really bad news for Huahin tourism. And for swimming on a beach with shark signs, well no comments

Thats fine, now go and fix the root cause of the problem please

Police are well-known for making check points and redirecting traffic without proper warning. A survey also showed that the traffic police was very poorly educated in the laws of traffic. I was backended by a car in Bangkok beginning of December last year on this account and totally five cars had accidents on that one occasion because police wanted to clear the road for a VIP on a highway in rush hour by jumping out on the road when traffic was moving fast. At least in Bkk there are many complaints about the police and the new head of Police have even in Bangkok post announced that he will stop what I believe he called "non authorized" police check points in the city.... Quite a statement

When you arrive in a new country: Look at how traffic works and you have a pretty good picture of how the country is run....

Is this a repost from 2011?
Maintenance does not exist in Thailand, nor does proper use of funds.

This is so unfair, like Prawit says: “she earlier always insisted that she would not flee”
And now suddenly in oppose to all expectation and precedence in the Taksin family she just run out of the country without prior notice to either police or Prawit himself, very disappointing behavior.
I think we should all give the Police some understanding in this case - I mean honestly who could have prevented this ?
Some cruel individuals might have suggested that she should have been kept safely in prison until the case was over but it would of course have been a against the legal standards in Thailand to keep people behind bars without a proper trial.

Good resume of the week, the strange thing is how I have become used to all this. I'm sure you will get more good stuff to report week by week until you run out of ink.

Well done, clamp down on the small fish and let the sharks making the big money alone. Very safe method.

So one of two: You either have to be rich to get in or you get rich after getting in !

Most of these girls are controlled by the guy's that really makes big money. Sex slavery are the right name on this business. As long as someone are willing turn the blind eye to the facts and pay the demand is there.

And how come that these girls ended up in Taiwan?
I can tell you:
So called Brokers are travelling around in rural areas for example North of Thailand and visit families with teenage daughters and persuade them to let them arrange a "job" for the girl so she can send home good money.
The girls only get a minor part of the mentioned 2,500 B and the rest goes into pockets of scruples people.
Simply disgusting.

What a joke! From basically acceptance of corruption combined with minor or no consequences and then to death penalty!!

What really is missing is an updated train service to do the long haul instead of travelling long distance in these van's

There are plenty of crocs in Khao yai and warnings too, I saw a big one in 2010 when trekking with a ranger. Closing up to them is plane stupid.

Everything regarding laws in Thailand is just guidelines including a death sentence......

How tragic. Guns lying around no matter circumstances is simply just a bad idea. Look at statistical data from countries with and without guns in every home and the picture gets crystal clear.

No second hand bike or car can legally be imported to Thailand. Buy a new and safe yourself a lot of hassle.

If this is the story only thing to say is :well done girl and speedy recovery !
Reminds me of a CCTV video of a big guy grabbing a bag from a little school girl on a train station, unfortunately for the thief the girl was a pro taekwondo fighter and kicked him to ground in two seconds, collected her bag and ran away.

Its hard to know if the Thais knew but if the Malay Company have supplied "form D" and can't comply the custom Duty problem is actually not created on the Thai side of the border

When it comes to monks the logic disappears.
I still get surprised how superstitious some very rich an educated people are: Give a future to a monk who are supposed not even to own a pair of flip-flops and your life will turn up great......

Trust is good, QC/ precaution is better, in this case a hotel safe would have been handy for this unfortunate guy

Visa for Director of company with a Foreign business license
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
Hi all,
I have a question to this forum:
Are there any special visa or permanent residence roles for a director of a company with a foreign business license?
As additional info: one of the requirements for a 100% foreign owned company in Thailand holding a FBL is that at least one of the Directors most be a resident in Thailand.
