I got mine for car and motorcycle in the Mochit Land transport department. Didn't bring bike or car but had both licenses on my Danish driver licence. I had to translate my DK licence to English.

It will be interesting for sure. Maybe Michael More will be right in saying Trump wins and it will be the biggest "F... You" in modern history.

He did it himself just to make the police look bad....

In line with most comments:
Let's see said the blind man! - if it happens it will I will give it a thumbs up.....

Intertainment again, needless to say but what works is education and in forcing the law.
As long as the main income of the police force is based on running the show like now all other good intentions will not go far.

If they are truly guilty that's it, everyone knows that long noses get no mercy in cort here. If they on the other hand are set up somehow it's a problem.

No wonder that many farmers and other good and honest Thais with land in attractive locations a scared of the land office officials.

Finally a good job, what any European police force would have done within the first week of such events being pulled of on public road. In my dreams I could see the laws of traffic being in forced in the same way on all roads in Thailand now matter if you are speeding in an overloaded truck or an expensive Benz.... Ohh I just woke up and realize that I was indeed dreaming
And by the way my advice as a lifetime motorcycle enthusiast driving everyone crazy when I was a teenager: Give the youngest with gasoline in the blood somewhere to do what they love in a safe way (at least for the public). Many of them are good kids but need somewhere to go where some adults with the same interest can guide them a bit in a way they understand.

The lack of justice is displayed on highest level, even a soldier with rank to arrest people can end that case without a judge or risk of violating human rights.

Running a branch of a forighn company in Thailand is too complicated and the uncertainty in legal matters are a showstopper for many companies to start operation in Thailand.
Thailand would gain considerably it they:
1: Gave the right to a foreign company to own a branch in Thailand.
2. Gave foreign companies proper legal protection of their Intellectual property rights.
In for example the renewable energy sector Thai university's are doing reverse engineering on forighn technology and as a foreigner your odds in the legal system are easy to overlook.

"Accurate understanding"
Don't know if I should laugh or cry now.
I assume people with "inaccurate understanding" will face boot-camp attitude correction until they get it right.

Even a child can see that the cables around here are done messy and from time to time requires a life, the embarrassing fact is that nothing is improving.
It's like the" wear a helmet" campaign that pops up now and then and is not followed up.

AlL the sand trucked in during the flood in 2011 never left Bangkok and are now on top of the dirt already collected so no wonder the drain is a bit slow. Thailand are known as "land of smiles" but not "land of maintenance"

There was probably 20 million Baht in cash, but no need to carry all to the station ☺

This innovative guy have probably already received job offers from the food industry. I guess the declaration on this "Product" with the usual terms used will be similar to mush of the industrial food and beverage you will find in most supermarkets.

It is very confusing for the local police when Farrangs often perform suicide with blond instruments or stabs them self in the back just to make it look suspicious.

What can the media pay attention to these days except the small crooks and dek van racing in Bangkok, they get 15 minutes of replay every morning on national TV together with the proud officer that stopped the severe wrongdoing......

We still have to see who will win this time but it's baffling to me how far this guy have gone. Maybe you need an attitude adjustment in the Trump camp to understand.....
-
Good to see that the police are focused on the real problems in Thailand
-
Like mentioned already, this is unfortunately normal to the extend where one just pulls out in the dirt without thinking much about it anymore.
I drive every weekend between Bkk and Samroy Yod mostly on motorcycle and have seen it all too often. There is no consequence of wrongdoing and therefore it newer ends.

It isn't now and is wasn't before but the internet is slowly doing its job to create more openness simply due to the fact that news - good or bad gets out there very fast.

The people living like this must have a galvanized immune system.....

This is not on a problem only related to VW. Fact is that EU and California standards requires engines to Run so lean in fuel/air ratio that they do not perform probably. It is very common for cars and motorcycles to have a special lean = low pollution setting in the ECU (fuel injection controller) at the load or rpm range where they are tested on the different markets. That's also why there is a big market for aftermarket ECU's that changes the fuel/ air ratio and make cars and motorcycles much more smooth in power delivery. So the issue is that the good old engine technologies are pushes to the limit to fulfill increasing demands for low emissions.

One more time, it gets to new levels every time !
Reward ourself and the boys for something you receive a salary to do and still not proven in a courtroom.
Thailand's New 10-Year Visas Meet Mixed Reactions
in Thailand News
Posted
I dont really see any big :Welcome to Thailand" signboard in this 10 year visa for the average "good" person that just want to relax in Thailand on a normal retirement budget and still spend good money for the benefit of Thailand. Also the 90 day rule without a chance for internet based check-in instead of wasting a day in some Immigration office is very old fashioned.
I have stayed and been running a business in Thailand for over 7 years now with Work permit and Visa done and its still more difficult for me to get the papers done and approved than getting a Schengen visa for my Thai girlfriend when we go to Denmark to visit family. If the Thai immigration had a nationwide Computer system and a internet self service they would be very much in control like in the EU and it would be great for us people that have chosen Thailand as a long term destination.
So If Thailand really want to benefit from long stay tourists and business people and companies that want to open subsidiaries there is only one way: Make it easier for us !
