  1. Yingluck would have to be out of town and preferably out of the country before Chalerm will be unleashed.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was being set up as a sacrifice by PT/Thaksin. Chalerm "acting on his own" clears out the protesters and arrests the leaders, and is then held responsible for any casualties. This would rid PT of two problems at once!

His announcement of a suprise is probably not a suprise to anyone other than him.

That he has been a Puppet and Sacraficial Lamb.

Maybe he will make good on his promises for once and do what he said he was going to do by the end 2013. crazy.gif.pagespeed.ce.dzDUUqYcHZ.gif

  2. First off. This is not the USA or any other Country.

This is Thailand. Different cultures and tolerances.

The protests are basically a stand-off. And they will do what they feel they have to do to protect themselvs.

It is very Dangerous and Risky for undercover Police Officers to try to inflitrate within the Hostile to Police Protester Group to gain Intelligence.

Especially if they did in fact have anything incriminating them or fellow Police in Violent Attacks against the Protesters as was reported to be on their internet phone messages.

The Police Commandrs know the Protest Guards are armed and they will react like Thai people do.

  3. Politicians now around the world seem to think they can continue to make 3 and 4 Pinocheo comments.

Even Obama and the American Government can't tell the Truth if it was in their face.

Why should anyone expect anything different from these Politicians.

Their plans all look Rosy in the Begining until the Reality Sets In that you've just been screwed.

Hate to think of the consequences if Thai Banks do give loans under these circumstances.

When it Walks, Talks, and Looks like a Duck; It IS a Duck. Not a Bugs Bunny

  4. BBC Bangkok reporter Johnathan Head just did a report 08:20 on the arrest of Sonthiyarn.

He lambasted the military on many issues and also said "Suthep was Protected by Military Special Forces".

The brief TV report also included Negative stuff about the Protesters and the Rice Farmers.

His whole report was One Sided, as usual from this guy.

His reports are consistantly Editorials and/or Opinions instead of factual Reporting.

This guy needs to get a clue. He has been here too long to give these meaningless rants without substance.

  5. Thank you ubonjoe.
Sounds as tho all I need is the Embassy Income verification which I can obtain and quality for, and a tm86 to go with the tm6

I am crossing the boarder in a couple of days to start my 2nd entry of a includd wih their house book per se'multipe entry Tourist Visa. So will have nearly 60 days remaining on that stay.

I do have a signed copy of my rental contract with their per se' house book copy.

  6. The Amazing Thai "Spin Doctors" on virtually everything.

What you saw or heard is actually not what you actually saw or heard according to PTP, PDRC, the Media and so much more.

Sensationalizing and "Spinning" the US State Dept. Spokesperson's "quoted" words to try to fit the Sensationalistic Headline.

Then concluding the article saying the USA is not taking sides.

And all the other recent porkies on the schemes that anyone with half a brain can see right thru.

    Spin, Spin, Spin !

  7. Look at the Big Picture.

The Political maneuvering is a "Game of Wits" between the two opposing Ideals to win within the current Thai Constitution.

Thailand is not unlike the Laws and Courts around the World.

How many times have people been "Suprised" by a Court Verdict or Opinion in their own or other Countries.

In the end, it is all up to a Court's Interpretation and their "Opinion". Nothing else matters.

So the political wrangling will continue untlil one side or the other wins in Court, or a very unfortunate military coup which neither side (even the Military) seems to want.

The current government and Mr T is reported to not be on the malitia's fovorite list, altho there is said to have been some friend making of some of the malitia by Mr T.

  8. As said before by so many others: "Folow the Money!"

Next maybe the government will propose a new IPhone for everyone.

Oooops.... sorry, they (most or all) already have those.

Next everyone will need a new Digital TV since current standard Analog is being replaced by Digtal TV.

Next government scheme? They will probably find a way for sure.

I can't wait til the change comes and all the peterbd people over this change.

No more Drama and Soap Operas will be seen in the millions of Tin Roof homes or businesses even with a digital tv or converter box becase the digital signal can not penetrate tin (Aluminum) or some metals.

  9. For those trying to vote today, grab as much footage of those obstructing the ballot boxes, and especially the armed PCAD militants. Videos, photos, etc that can identify the people responsible for this.

Then, submit online and to the police, hopefully they can be identified and one day brought to justice.

Quiet, and at the same time if anyone has footage from 2010 of the burning and armed rioting going on in down town Bkk, please supply this footage to the police and hopefully these people will be brought to justice as well

You mean like the footage of those guys just "Trying to take those Buses for a Joy Ride" when they Lost Control of those Buses and had to "jump out to save themselves" as those Buses went "Hurtling Toward" Military and Security Personnel ?

Must be True because that's what defenders of their actions said.

  10. It was inevitable or always possible that the anti-government protesters were armed.

    No suprise at all.

The Police and Army supposidely hid because it was reported that they were not supposed to be armed at protest sites.

Their hands are tied against armed aggression given these constraints.

A lot of Media observed and caught the anti government supposidely with weapons because the Media was within the anti government protesters.

Doubtful the Media was within, or close to the pro govrnment and Red Shirts to get good pictures and video of that group.

    The big questions should be;

    1. Why did the pro government protesters rally where they knew they would encounter the anti government protesters?

    2. Who actually did start the armed violence ? (many conflicting news reports which side started it, but no actual video/pictures (that has been posted here) leading up to the violence).

As long as these groups are allowed to run into each other's protests, there probably will be problems.

  11. Take a Warning. All Current Analog TV's will be worthless without a Digital Converter or Cable/Satellite service.

In my Country the switch from analog to digital was done about 5 years ago.

Now, digital converters are nearly impossible to find and there are NO Discounts for the converter antennas now.

I like the expanded programming in my home Country (old tv sitcoms and cartoons, documentaries, reruns of semi current programs, specialty shows) but doubtful any meaningful programming in addition to on air TV will be offered in Thailand.

I think a lot of Thai's will be VERY Ticked off when they can not use their perfectly good analog tv's.

Also Digital signals are very touchy and can be interferred with or blocked even line of sight easily.

If Digital tv signals are coming from different directions, receiveing them all will probably require adjusting the Digital antenna direction for some different stations.

Digital is not all it is promised to be. It is far from perfect.

    just my 2 baht worth

  12. Can't believe some farangs still push it to get involvd in Thai political protests. Especially since a SOE is in effect.

Unless there as a credentialed member of the Press and only observing and reporting.

Why would anyone want to get involved in such stupidity?

The farang was stupid enough to be inerviwed while within the protest and giving an opinion on tv.

The government can't find the attackers, but bet they can find the farang who blatently gets directly involved.

"Run Forrest Run" while you still can
