I was just trying to point out that irrational behaviour is not uncommon in LOS (nor anywhere else in the world) and that the macho way is not always the best way to deal with it. Am I a pussy for not having the "my way or the highway" attitude like some people on this forum?

Irrational behaviour is the ideal word for this.. It was just an innocent SMS which was a mistake and she should just accept it. If it happens again, then she should deck the guy!

Like I said, without trust, no way this relationship is going anywhere. Think about it, does anyone want <deleted> the rest of their life?? The girl will always be suspicious and accusatory.

The guy said it was a mistake. What else does she want? A car? A house? A Piece of land to make up for it?

We are moving to Europe in 2 weeks. We have evaluated what we are bringing and note that we have about 5 CBM of space left to add stuff to bring with us.

We wanted to purchase 2 medium ranged mountain bikes (suitable for rides through forests and rougher terrains). Possibly a new desktop computer too. We only have 2 laptops at the moment. Shipping, custom clearance and door-to-door transport is paid by company, so no worries about costs.

Wanted to know whether it would be better if we purchased the bikes here in Bangkok or in Europe? What would be better quality wise, choice wise and etc? Any opinions?

If anyone else can think of what else we can add in or bring with us, let us know.

Woman's opinion. Seems as if there is no trust in this relationship at all. It's just an SMS, what is the big deal??? It's not saying "I love u" or something sappy, its just "why are you tired?" No biggie IMO.

Your gf can always confront the other colleague directly since all of you work in the same office.

Trust is an important part of the foundation in any relationship.

I think if it is really only for 3 week, she does not need to apply for a tourist visa. She can get an "on arrival visa" valid for 1 month. If your gf can get to Sg (not on transit) without any hassle, she will have less hassle in TH. Sg has stricter tourist laws for Indons.

-  According to the Interior Ministerial Announcements dated 1 October B.E. 2545 (2002), 20 December B.E. 2545 (2002) ,18 October B.E. 2547 (2004) and 6 May B.E. 2548 (2005)  , passport holders from 40 countries and Hong Kong SAR do not require a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes if their stay in the Kingdom does not exceed 30 days.

TEMPORARY TOURIST VISA : VISA ON ARRIVAL

        -  According to the Interior Ministerial Announcements, passport holders from 20 countries may apply for visas at the immigration checkpoints for the purpose of tourism for the period of not exceeding 15 days.

        - The applicant must possess  means of living expenses 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family accordingly.

        - The applicant must produce full paid ticket which is usable within 15 days since the date of entry.

        - Visa on arrival is provided at 23 designated international checkpoints and applicants should produce the application form to which his/her recent photograph (2 ½ inches)  is attached. The application fee is 1,000 Baht.

        - Visitors who enter the Kingdom with Visa on Arrival generally cannot file an application for extension of stay except in special cases such as illness which prevents them from travelling, etc. They can submit an application at the Office of Immigration Bureau , Immigration Division 1, Soi Suan Plu, South Sathorn Road, Bangkok 10120. Tel. (662) 287-3127 or 287-3101-10 ext. 2264-5 or at website http://www.police.go.th/frconten.htm

However, they make ask for a return ticket if they suspect she is staying longer than the 1 month.

I think you should get a return ticket too......just in case. Get one where you can change the return date easily. It may be more expensive but better safe than sorry.

IMO, nothing great about being a Thai unless you want to live in Thailand all your life. Hard to get a visa anywhere in the world (western countries) for holidays unless you are covered in gold.

No one can predict what will happen in 5-6 years time. Take for example, when there was a demand for IT specialist, everyone took the course. At the end of 4-5 years, there was a huge overflow of IT specialist. The good ones managed to secure employment, the others had a difficult time getting employment. Why? No more IT jobs and non-IT employers did not want them.

I would say do what you like best and enjoy. Why Thailand? Why not somewhere else?

After much research, she feels that she will be either going to Bumrungrad or Samitivej. She has met with Dr Amorn and Dr Teerasit from Bumrungrad. One of their specialties is in breast surgery. The latter seems more qualified. The others are not specialised in breasts.

End of the day, remember that it has to be a personal decision and choose a doctor that is qualified and that she feels comfortable with.

I think ADSL in Thailand is such a joke and a laugh. I personally have tried TRUE, TOT and Buddy Broadband.

All of them suck!!! It is so slow and at times you just cannot use it. They call this ADSL? All Dumb Sucker's Line?

Online customer service is useless. It's as if they have no brains but use a manual to follow step-by-step to answer customers. They do not listen to you nor answer your questions.
