  1. Permit me to add a personal experience concerning finding golf clubs.

In1981, I was sent to the Red Sea area of Saudi to open up a new contract and get it rolling. I had to buy equipment, tools, office equipment, etc.

Anyway to make a long story short, I drove to Jeddah and was looking for some sports equipment for our employees and went to the International Mall to look in their sports store.

I was amazed to find, as I roamed the store, a 55 gallon drum filled with putters, which was the last thing I expected to find since the nearest golf course, at that time, was in Cairo.

As I stood there wondering how a sporting goods store in Jeddah managed to end up with 100-200 putters when there was no golf course around when it suddenly dawned on me...every stinking one of them was left handed.

  2. The open Championship is being aired on Fox Sports HD but according to CTH there is no english commentary available. However 365 Sport is showing exactly the same pictures from Fix Sports but this does have an English commentary - Peter Alliss, Julian Tutt, Ken Brown et al. When I pointed this out to CTH they denied it. As far as I am concerned I will now dispense with CTH altogether as it is clearly a cheap charlie broadcaster that can not or will not pay for the English commentary. The same situation applied for both Wimbledon and the French Open Tennis, i.e. no English commenatary on Fox Sports HD.

I watched Wimbledon, Roland Garros and am now watching The Open Championship, all in English.

I have TrueVision and the telecasts have either been on channels 680 or 689.

If somebody is not getting the English commentary on TrueVisions, they need to change the language on their "set top box" from Thai to English.

    Good luck with CTH.

  3. Photos of the six Baltimore Police officers labeled as racist against blacks by many people in America...

    https://twitter.com/wbaltv11/status/594287186507358208/photo/1

Well done making those photos public, NOT. Now they will be in fear of their lives if they ever go out in public again, and I anticipate that they will be aquitted.

You might want to check out the Drudge Report today. That photo of the six police officers is the headline photo.

Drudge has had 25,743,484 (and counting) viewers in the last 24 hours. I don't think the photo is a state secret at this point.

  4. Unless you have been involved with their security forces since the Khobar Towers bombing, you don't have a clue what they have done to stop terrorism in Saudi.

I still get Warden's messages and send them on to friends working there.

Saudi Arabian authorities are doing much more against ISIS and Al-Qaeda than any of you know.

    Any of us Chuck?

    Really?

    wink.png

Naw, not you. I know you already know everything so you are never included in one of my blanket statements.

Given jihadist advances in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, the Saudis don't seem to be succeeding in the region as a whole.

Please explain why they have any responsibility for stopping Jihad advances in Iraq and Syria.

They are helping in Yemen and, seemingly doing some good by killing many of the Iranian backed Shiites.

  6. Did you know the Scooby van was clocked at 92 mph during a recent trip to New Hampshire going between political meetings.

NO! I didn't know! Thanks for keeping us updated!

Any more juicy gossip you'd like to share?

    <<snip>>

Yeah. Did you know Hillary has not driven a car since 1996?

All this trivia sort of reminds me of the Marco Rubio thread.

Simple solution, live with it or don't read the threads.

  7. The campaign HAS started. It started when she declared her candidacy.

Nahhh, no-one is going to take any notice until a clown has emerged from the car crash to run against her.

I looks like SHE is the one crashing the clown car - or should I say Scooby Van. clap2.gif

Did you know the Scooby van was clocked at 92 mph during a recent trip to New Hampshire going between political meetings.

Luckily, her entourage did not have to run over anybody to get her to the meetings on time.

In fairness, it has been reported on this forum that Marco Rubio's wife had a fender bender some time ago. There were no deaths or injuries.thumbsup.gif

  8. The only two articles so far on this thread are from the Associated Press and the NY Times.

Oh Chuck. Need to get tested for Alzheimers mate, you were the one that wrote Post #4.

    blink.png

The pedantic patrol is alive and functioning. You are correct. My post #4 was published by the NY Post, NOT the NY Times.

The fact remains, neither the Times nor the Post are also known as FOX NEWS.

  9. What happened to the cheerleaders for that loser, Hillary, LOL? Cat got your tongue? tongue.png

    Cheerleaders?

They are not needed if you have facts.

facts...The author of 'Clinton Cash" has just admitted he has no facts to back up his allegations!

It's just another piece of GOP propaganda.

" On April 23, ABC News explained that their independent review of the source material used for Clinton Cash ‘uncovered errors in the book, including an instance where paid and unpaid speaking appearances were conflated.’ The book purports to reveal connections between Hillary Clinton’s time as secretary of state, donations to the Clinton Foundation, and paid speeches given by the Clintons, but Schweizer reportedly admits in the book he cannot prove his allegations.

ABC, who first reported on these lies, wrote:

That steady flow of income has come under scrutiny in recent days, as it formed an element of a book by author and conservative think tank fellow Peter Schweizer called “Clinton Cash,” due for release in coming days. ABC News received an advanced copy of the book, which highlights instances where domestic and foreign companies with pending interests before the State Department made large donations to the Clinton’s charitable enterprises or, in some cases, helped underwrite the former president’s speeches.
The book offers no proof that Hillary Clinton took any direct action to benefit the groups and interests that were paying her husband
    .

An independent review of source material by ABC News
uncovered errors in the book, including an instance where paid and unpaid speaking appearances were conflated
    .

The author of the newest hate-on-Hillary book can’t prove his own allegations?

How about providing links to the source of your quote?

  10. An estimated 112 million indians in north and south America were slaughtered by "the founding fathers"... and now they make a movie where native american indians are ridiculed???

Would like to see a film like that featuring Germans ridiculing jews, and the whole planet would be in outrage, parts of Germany would burn and jews worldwide would demand to see heads roll...

But with those indians, well let's do it, why not? We all know which religion is running the movie industry, so who wonders... America should be ashamed of its past, but instead is proud of it - sickens me to my stomach! sick.gif

I suppose we can mark you down as not being a movie goer?

  11. You sound like a Fox Anchor.

How about quotes from the actual report:

Their exoneration of the White House was sweeping and nearly absolute. So sweeping that I want to quote directly from the report's summary, rather than paraphrasing it. Here it is:

    • The Committee first concludes that the CIA ensured sufficient security for CIA facilities in Benghazi....Appropriate U.S. personnel made reasonable tactical decisions that night, and the Committee found no evidence that there was either a stand down order or a denial of available air support....

    • Second, the Committee finds that there was no intelligence failure prior to the attacks. In the months prior, the IC provided intelligence about previous attacks and the increased threat environment in Benghazi, but the IC did not have specific, tactical warning of the September 11 attacks.

    • Third, the Committee finds that a mixed group of individuals, including those affiliated with Al Qa'ida, participated in the attacks....

    • Fourth, the Committee concludes that after the attacks, the early intelligence assessments and the Administration's initial public narrative on the causes and motivations for the attacks were not fully accurate....There was no protest. The CIA only changed its initial assessment about a protest on September 24, 2012, when closed caption television footage became available on September 18, 2012 (two days after Ambassador Susan Rice spoke)....

    • Fifth, the Committee finds that the process used to generate the talking points HPSCI asked for—and which were used for Ambassador Rice's public appearances—was flawed....

    • Finally, the Committee found no evidence that any officer was intimidated, wrongly forced to sign a nondisclosure agreement or otherwise kept from speaking to Congress, or polygraphed because of their presence in Benghazi. The Committee also found no evidence that the CIA conducted unauthorized activities in Benghazi and no evidence that the IC shipped arms to Syria.

So ALL of those Fox News LIES that you keep clinging on to have been debunked by your own party.

The report is there for you to read.

Feel free to come back to me if you want to contradict any of the above.

This is another fake scandal, I'm sure you'll get over it after the election.

    1. The Executive Summary puts out their mission objective in the opening paragraph:

"The nearly two-year investigation focused on the activities of the Intelligence Community ("IC") before, during and after the attacks."

    2. Your comment concerning the adequate security the CIA provided for the CIA facility is not really pertinent to the attack. The attack on the Ambassador was undertaken at the largely unprotected US Consulate...NOT the CIA facility. The State Department was responsible for security at the Consulate, where two of the murders took place.

The CIA facility was never breached by the attackers although two Americans lost their lives defending the facility.

    3. The Executive summary makes the following reference to the State Department:

"The Committee, however, received evidence that the State Department security personnel, resources and equipment were unable to counter the terrorist threat that day and required CIA assistance."

    4. The Committee report was exclusively dedicated to the actions of the Intelligence Community and did not investigate the actions of either the Administration or the State Department.

In short, there has been no exoneration of anybody from the Administration or State Department.

This Congressional Investigation did not target either entity and it certainly did not exonerate them.

RepresentativeTrey Gowdy is leading the current Congressional Investigation into the role of the Administration and State Department.

  12. A long but very interesting tale of how the Russian government gained control of 20% of the US uranium production from the Obama cabinet, State Department and, perhaps, even Obama himself.

Certainly the Clinton machine was involved and millions of dollars changed hands.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal
By JO BECKER and MIKE McINTIRE
    APRIL 23, 2015
The headline on the website Pravda trumpeted President Vladimir V. Putin’s latest coup, its nationalistic fervor recalling an era when its precursor served as the official mouthpiece of the Kremlin: “Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World.”
The article, in January 2013, detailed how the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom, had taken over a Canadian company with uranium-mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West. The deal made Rosatom one of the world’s largest uranium producers and brought Mr. Putin closer to his goal of controlling much of the global uranium supply chain.
But the untold story behind that story is one that involves not just the Russian president, but also a former American president and a woman who would like to be the next one.
