The UK is also providing vaccines to Thailand (415,000 doses). There are already several threads about it on the forum.

I'm not sure "donate" is the right word (even though the embassy and others are using it) because the official announcements say they will be provided "at cost price." "Donate" implies they will be given for free, which doesn't seem to be the case.

Yes, I have seen them, just at the time on the BBC website Thailand wasn't mentioned

  2. Happy for you. Now I will tell you my experience today. I am registered at both private and local (which ever comes first I will have, over one month registered) a few days ago pivate got in touch, come for vaccine 29th walk in, yesterday I sent message, confirm vaccination tomorrow, answer yes, this morning, happy as Larry set off on my bicycle, arrived hospital, paid my money then was told October maybe, everyone including Thais coughed up money and THEN was told October

Also had invite from Thonburi for Moderna, why do some people find it so difficult? All you had to do to get an appt on Mor Prom was to spend 10 minutes applying for a tax number first, people preferred to spend hours on here moaning about not being able to get vaccinated instead.

I have registered TWICE!!!  at my local hospital, told me they would telephone, not heard a thing

Another advantage of AZ is that it is accepted by more Countries, where Sinovac isn't. For example if you have two jabs of AZ then Canada accepts you as being fully vaccinated, where if you have 2 jabs of Sinovac, Canada won't recognize it.

My best friend is Canadian and he is in constant touch with the Canadian Embassy/Airlines, he has informed me that you do not need to be vaccinated to fly into Canada, only a test then quarantine when arrive Canada

"Singapore, the Philippine, Thailand and Taiwan are among those that have sought or signed deals for Moderna or have already begun receiving vaccine batches."

Other recent reports indicated that Thailand wanted 10 million by the end of the year but only got a committment for 5 million to be delivered by that date with the rest coming in 1Q 2022.

Seems to me that 5 million doses should be more than enough to cover those willing to pay the 3,400 baht.

Not sure about that, there are  many, many rich Thai people out there
