  1. You need to quit posting. First of all, modern day Poland would beat Russia in a conventional war and the Russians know it. Second, Poland is protected by Article 5, guaranteed NATO mobilisation. Just give it a rest.
  2. Looks like a clever statement until your realise it was Trump that sent the Javelin's to Ukraine while Obama sent blankets. I bet you didn't know that.
  3. The EU is not a military organization. If NATO enters the war, it's nuclear war time. No sane Brit I know is prepared start a nuclear war to assist Ukraine. Regard anyone suggesting that NATO attacks Russia as mentally ill. Treat them as such.
  4. And I saw a guy saying "nice house you have here, it would be a shame if something happened to it."
  5. You are demented. Seek help.
  6. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Only a natural born idiot compares what's happening here with 1930's appeasement. These same NBI's girn about Chamberlain, Hitler, Churchill, Stalin et al. Some are even dumb enough to complain about the nukes that hit Japan. The name thee seek is Truman. He decided to demarcate Europe and allow old sovereign states to fall under the Iron Grip of Stalin. He surrendered land in exchange for peace. He introduced the guarantee of NATO Article 5 protection for member states backed by US military force. Unfortunately, he surrendered the only time in human history where a single country did have the Dragon in the Sky, the ability to destroy all - "I am death." He chose peace. He chose the humanitarian path, he chose the Marshall Plan, the chose to rebuild Japan. Truman was one of the most exceptional human beings in history. And if he were alive today he'd say - surrender the lost land. Stop the killing. But these keyboard assassins, man - what a waste of DNA these halfwits are.
  7. Yup, that's me. Guilty as charged. I signed up for the British army as I have a lifetime hatred for the Soviets and their bast*rd Putinesque offspring. And here I am being lectured by guys who regard taking the lid off a McDonalds coffee as a life threatening event saying I'm pro-Russian - and for why? Asking the simple question - how does Ukraine win? It can't. Obama knew they couldn't win. Read that again - Obama knew they couldn't win, so he sent them blankets. Blankets. And now entire forests have disappeared as new wood coffins overflow in the morgues, while our Western Brigade of Clowns growl the war chants of day old puppies. We are surrounded by dangerous clownologists - if brains were explosive they wouldn't have enough to blow their nose. But don't worry, Mr Common Sense will be along in a minute with his war winning strategy.
  8. Outstanding post. I've been looking for a common sense non-American leftist for ages. Feel free to tell the forum how Ukraine can win this war.
  9. I've got to say this thread is very entertaining. You must be high if you think China is going to give nukes to Ukraine. Absolute Mad Hatter material. Amazing stuff.
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong - that was a Bill Clinton deal, who was it that broke it? W Bush, Obama, Trump or Biden? I'm certain it was neither Trump or Biden - so who was it?
  11. Zelensky was baited by a man saying "let's look at a diplomatic solution." Aye, very good.
  12. Trump is determined to not give a US security guarantee. Zelensky is determined that he does. This mineral rights issue is distasteful but then we learn it was the Ukranians who offered it first to Biden/Harris. Then Zelensky went campaigning for Harris. This is wild stuff, really shocking and amatuerish "diplomacy."
  13. In my opinion Zelensky made a serious mistake with his "Nice ocean - wait till you feel" comment. You can't sit in the Oval Office and bait any POTUS in public. This was the political equivalent of "Nice house you have here, it would be a shame if anything happened to it." And all this talk of a political mugging is BS. There was no need for Zelensky to raise the temp after Vance said "let's try to end the war through diplomacy." Every single political leader in the West wants that. But Zelensky went off like a cheap firecracker. No one saw that coming. Not a single person. And that's why it was breathtaking to watch.
  14. Would anyone disagree that Zelensky wants NATO to declare war on Russia. Does anyone here agree that NATO should do so?
  15. Shorter version.
  16. I'll give Zelensky the benefit of the doubt up until he made the "Nice ocean" comment. That was ridiculous and I'm not shocked that Trump lost his temper. "Don't you tell us how we will feel," said Trump. And it all went wrong from there. What possessed you, Zelensky. What possessed you? Watch it all but it gets spicy around half way through
  17. I have one too. Police are saying there's no suspicious circumstances.
  18. I hope that is the cause of death, so they can be mourned without darkness. I'm not one for worshipping actors, I think there's a limit as to how valuable pretending to be someone else is. But there's something about Gene Hackman's character as a man that showed through the celebrity. He's not alone in that - but he was a star of an actor and a star of a man. I hope it was a peaceful end, RIP.
  19. Chief Justice Robert's stepped in last night and stayed Ali's court order. SCOTUS is not accepting the premise that a district court judge has jurisdiction over which bills the Executive Branch pays. As indicated by the DOJ - he is commanding we pay invoices before we check if they are fraudulent. Rank stupidity by Ali
  20. What a lot of Americans don't know is that the Irish contingent in Congress were quite happy to see Hitler defeat the UK. Thet believed underhanded neutrality would result in Germany handing them the dream - a United Ireland. Didn't work out well for them - and the embarrassment of Ireland being the only country in the world to send condolences to Germany on the death of Hitler was the icing on the cake. Know the history.
  21. I know exactly what happened. FDR worried that Congress would only declare war on Japan but Hitler shortcircuited that by unilaterally declaring war on the USA. I do know the history. These word games are wilful.
  22. I've seen some utter clownery posted on the Internet but suggesting that the Allies did not join with Russia to defeat Germany is staggering. I cannot believe that any man with a functioning IQ put that in writing. The difference between FDR and Churchill was that Churchill knew he was dealing with a snake in Stalin. There was an infamous drinking session between Stalin and Churchill which some of you should read up about. Educational. My assessment is that up to and including Yalta, FDR did regard Russia as an ally. In fact, I reckon FDR believed Stalin to be an ally until the day he died. Churchill knew that Yalta was a disaster and was deeply concerned as to how generous in spirit FDR was to Stalin. My second assessment is that FDR's illness played a part in his misjudgement. I said it before, here goes again. This concept that there were clear winners during WW2 is a wilful misreading of history. We know who lost, but never forget the Allies abandoned half of Europe to the Communists, the USA then endured 50 years of the Cold War and lost far too many men in battle against communist expansionism worldwide. You call this victory? And the Brits were bankrupted, to the point they had to walk away from the Empire. The Suez Canal seized which gave rise to a wave of Arab Nationalism with all the attendant problems were are still experiencing to this day. Once again - here's what happened at the end of WW2. The Allies looked at the Russian lines and decided to abandon vast tracts of territory in exchange for peace. That's an uncomfortable fact. The Berlin Blockade was a disaster for the West. The Allies abandoned many old sovereign states. And you go on about history repeating itself? Correct - The Allies - now in the form of the EU, and NATO - will again judge it's better to surrender land than run headlong into Russian military units. So when you refer to history - make sure you understand - the West walked away in 1945 - and they are going to do it again as no sane EU head of state is prepared to send troops into battle against Russia. Not one.
  23. Good idea - some clubs have a tourist ticket allocation, realistically you'd need to prebook now Also, link to Chelsea stadium tours here https://www.chelseafc.com/en/stadium-tours-and-museum
  24. Imperial War Museum - watch Zulu on YouTube with your laddie then show him the outstanding collection of Victoria Cross medals at the museum, including those won at Rorke's Drift. Watch "Dunkirk" and "The Darkest Hour" then visit the War Rooms where Churchill directed the war effort. Making the big screen come alive should be memorable - and all are excellent movies.
  25. Judge Amir Ali has ordered the White House to settle all USAID bills immediately. This will arrive at the Supreme Court. At least two SCOTUS justices are of the opinion that district judges ( inferior Courts ) do not have the constitutional right to interfere in executive branch policies by issuing national injunctions. This is a trap well set by the Trump admin. They knew activist judges would do this. They wanted this fight immediately and now they have it. And before Dems go nuts, remember that Republicans play this game too. No one argues that the Federal courts have oversight. The argument is whether inferior circuit judges should interfere with the executive branch. The Constitution indicates that is the reserve of SCOTUS
