Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record
Tippaporn replied to Social Media's topic in The Green Forum
While I agree with novacova on much I disagree with his use of the term "climate religion." It's most definitely a "climate cult." I'm not trolling here by saying that. Anyone who understands the psychological aspects that are responsible for the formation of cultish behaviour can readily recognise these same aspects at play amongst climate change believers. The behaviours are near identical. I absolutely agree with the last statement. It is a well known fact that once a belief about reality is mistaken for a condition of reality - in other words a belief that is presumed to be true but is not - then the belief not only causes blindness to any information which doesn't conform to the belief but the belief becomes almost unshakable. -
Climate change: July set to be world's warmest month on record

Where's your evidence? Al Gore claimed back on December 14, 2009, at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark that scientist predicted a 75% chance that the north pole would be completely ice-free during some of the summer months by 2016. That hasn't happened and it still hasn't happened. The problem with climate change believers is none of their predictions come true. And as to their efforts to connect a single hurricane or any other major weather event to climate change has never been done with absolute conclusive scientific evidence which every scientist would be able to agree with. The point being that neither do you have any real evidence. Keep in mind, interpretations of data is not real evidence, especially when it data that is not shared. -
The root problem here, and it extends not only to competitions such as sports and chess but to restrooms and all else is that trans genders think they have a right to be recognised as being a sex which they are not. They demand that sane people, those who have a much firmer grasp of what actual reality is, surrender their true reality for the trans fictitious one. They have zero right to demand that others recognise, accept and live in their phantasmal, delusive reality, let alone abandon true reality. There is no such thing as trans rights for there is no basis in concrete reality for it. Trans rights only exist in a clown world.

He needs to find a different hobby. Complaining ain't much of one.

LOL. It's what's called self-fulfilling prophecy. Your experience meets your expectations but you don't realise that. You can't bring yourself to admit that it's you.

That's why I like to say that the problem many have is they take themselves with them wherever they go. If you were miserable where you came from how to you expect to be happy somewhere else? It's not the location that's the problem. It's what's in the mirror. Edit: I should add that I'm not referring to those who simply have personal preferences. That's natural. I'm talking only about those who can't find a damn thing to say that's good.

I thoroughly enjoy driving in Thailand, even in heavy traffic. Creeping along in a virtual standstill? That I hate. I've seen cops every once in a blue moon on 7 but they're always in traffic. I tend to think they're not patrolling but simply on their way to whatever their destination. I once made the drive from BKK to our house up in Kalasin, a 550 km trip, in 5 hours. Left at 4 AM on a Sunday and it was clear sailing all the way to Korat, which is about midway. Average 110 km/h. Not very impressive, I'll admit, but I was driving a Toyota Tiger that had the least powerful engine available as it was originally a company truck. Flooring it from a dead stop to about 60 km/h took about 20 seconds. For someone who loves speed it was agonising. LOL Anyway, such a shame to hear so many farang here curse and moan about driving in Thailand. I love the freedom.

In the wee hours of the morning. Unless you like to do a lot of weaving. Which, granted, is fun. Perhaps the best part of driving here, which is very unlike the U.S., is the lack of cops. Speeding in the U.S. is very stressful as the cops are everywhere hidden on the roads. Here it's total relaxation. You never have to be on the constant look out. And if caught it's not only a major out of pocket expense but time consuming if the court sends you to school, too. Here it's a couple of hundred baht for beer money as you hand the officer you're DL.

Driving on the Autobahn is a pleasurable delight that any lover of driving should experience. 200 km/h was my cruising speed. I laugh whenever I see high end performance cars in Thailand. Thailand roads aren't built for those machines.

I prefer using common sense over rote rules that do not allow for any deviation despite vastly different driving scenarios and conditions. Rote rules treat people as if they're stupid, don't possess any common sense and are incapable of figuring things out for themselves. And that type of attitude actually creates stupid people who then abandon their common sense. An action can be highly dangerous under one scenario but perfectly safe under a different scenario. Common sense works wonderfully in guiding your actions. I love driving in Thailand and never complain about anyone else's driving.

Here I'll never have to worry about having to awaken to an FBI swat team busting down my door at 5 AM and getting dragged out into the street in my underwear with the entire moo ban looking on aghast because the FBI had the wrong house.

Future generations will one day read this sage quote and requote it to all of their friends.

Now there's an idea that can be modified slightly to fit. How about trans females can only compete against other trans females and record keeping such that you have records for biological women and separate records for biological males who pretend they're women. Now everyone can have what they want and be happy!!! Well, still need to sort out the locker room situation . . .

The problem for a lot of people is that they take themselves with them wherever they go.

Well, hello fellow 'lunatic' kindred soul. I never could understand how so many farang are against the freedom one has here one the road. I quite understand what you mean by 'lunatic.' It doesn't mean that you're dangerous. It simply means that you can capably access what is appropriate driving in any given situation and what is not. So instead of following rules of the road regardless of whether they may or may not apply in a given situation you're free to use your own common sense judgement. Perhaps it's because so many farang have been conditioned by their own cultures into thinking that rules must be followed at all times no matter what the unique circumstances may be. Being German maybe it's part of my DNA but I like to drive fast. Now I understand that scares some people. But if I had to take into account everyone's personal and varied feelings on any action that I take then I wouldn't be living my life for myself. I'd instead be sacrificing my life to live it as others demand I live it so that they don't have to deal with their feelings being upset. Anyway, I share your sentiment wholeheartedly.

This must be the 1,000th "What Do You Like About Thailand' thread. So here's my nickel's worth once again. Thailand is whatever you want it to be. And for all practical purposes Thailand will be exactly what you want it to be. That accounts for all of the divergent views on either reaches of the spectrum. Granted, few understand that fine point and how it translates into personal experienced reality. There's really not much else to say. BTW, it's been wonderful for me. Call me lucky. Or maybe I just understand how it works.

The "sexist" label is itself a disingenuous canard used by those who have trouble distinguishing perceived reality from actual, rockbed reality. That there are differences between the sexes is something only a fool would attempt to deny. So if one were to point out any of those differences then the "sexist" label is immediately slapped on you by these folks who have difficulty interpreting reality and you are forever a "bad" person. Perhaps those innate differences between the sexes also extends to purely mental endeavours such as chess and that these differences were obvious enough to be recognised, thus resulting in the FIDE creating separate competitions based on gender. Someone might want to pose that specific question to the FIDE as to their reasoning that caused them to settle on gender based competitions rather than a single competition for both male and female entrants.

Or the queen to be the king. I thought about that. If I made my king the queen not only would I have a major advantage but I could never lose, either. There's no king to put in check mate. Perhaps a trans player would say doing that would be his trans right. Anything goes in a clown world, right? Reality. Who needs it. Just make up whatever as you go along.

An analysis based on what? XX and XY chromosomes? Why would that determination take two years make? How long does it take to drop your shorts to see? Genders for humans follow biological sex. Per the dictionary definition for 'gender:' Either of the two divisions, designated female and male, by which most organisms are classified on the basis of their reproductive organs and functions; sex. Gender dysphoria, which is identity confusion, is a mental disorder. The cure is to face reality. Mutilating your body to match your identity crisis is not the cure. The FIDE should, therefore, establish it's rules strictly on the basis of biological sex. Not on mental disorders. As to trans rights, you have a right to your mental disorder but that's as far as your trans rights go. Here's a poster who understands the issue quite well. And for myself I refuse to live in a clown world.
