  1. You're not a white male by chance, are you? Lord help you if you're Christian, too. That would be three strikes.
  2. Totally "sexist." Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Now that's a great example. I love the imagery of a saber-tooth giraffe. A long time ago I was married to one of those. But she took me down.
  3. The "sexist" label is itself a disingenuous canard used by those who have trouble distinguishing perceived reality from actual, rockbed reality. That there are differences between the sexes is something only a fool would attempt to deny. So if one were to point out any of those differences then the "sexist" label is immediately slapped on you by these folks who have difficulty interpreting reality and you are forever a "bad" person. Perhaps those innate differences between the sexes also extends to purely mental endeavours such as chess and that these differences were obvious enough to be recognised, thus resulting in the FIDE creating separate competitions based on gender. Someone might want to pose that specific question to the FIDE as to their reasoning that caused them to settle on gender based competitions rather than a single competition for both male and female entrants.
  4. And yes, the FIDE is being spineless (dickless) in their decision for they hold out a way for a trans mental patient to eventually, possibly qualify.
  5. Or the queen to be the king. I thought about that. If I made my king the queen not only would I have a major advantage but I could never lose, either. There's no king to put in check mate. Perhaps a trans player would say doing that would be his trans right. Anything goes in a clown world, right? Reality. Who needs it. Just make up whatever as you go along.
  6. An analysis based on what? XX and XY chromosomes? Why would that determination take two years make? How long does it take to drop your shorts to see? Genders for humans follow biological sex. Per the dictionary definition for 'gender:' Either of the two divisions, designated female and male, by which most organisms are classified on the basis of their reproductive organs and functions; sex. Gender dysphoria, which is identity confusion, is a mental disorder. The cure is to face reality. Mutilating your body to match your identity crisis is not the cure. The FIDE should, therefore, establish it's rules strictly on the basis of biological sex. Not on mental disorders. As to trans rights, you have a right to your mental disorder but that's as far as your trans rights go. Here's a poster who understands the issue quite well. And for myself I refuse to live in a clown world.
  7. Shhhh!!! Not so loud!!!! If bannork hears it'll depress him.
  8. The closest thing to a beach you'll find, bannork, is the banks of the Mekong River, LOL. You'll have to settle for the hammock on your farm. Great tune, BTW. Hadn't heard that before.
  9. Randy California, when he was with Spirit, recorded I Got A Line On You, found on their '68 The Family That Plays Together album. He was quite an accomplished guitarist and had Jimi Hendrix' respect. Unlike so many rock stars who died young due to drugs California drowned in the Pacific Ocean in '97 at the age of 45 while rescuing his 12-year-old son, Quinn, from a rip current near his mother's home at Molokai, Hawaii. He managed to push Quinn (who survived) toward the shore. Randy went straight to Heaven and was saluted as he walked through the Pearly Gates.
  10. Playing For Change puts out some awesome music. That must have taken a lot of work to arrange that song given all of the various artists. An crack up effort. Ben E. King among many others playing his '61 hit classic Stand By Me in Caritiba, Brazil in October 2014, shortly before Ben E. King's death on April 30, 2015.
  11. T-Bone Walker performing the Aaron Walker tunes Woman, You Must Be Crazy and Goin' To Chicago Blues on Norman Granz's Jazz At The Philharmonic at Poplar Town Hall, UK on 30 Nov. '66. With Dizzy Gillespie, Teddy Wilson, Louis Bellson, Clark Terry, Coleman Hawkins, Zoot Sims, Jimmy Moody, Benny Carter and Bob Cranshaw. This concludes the Tipper's Blues Hour and today's broadcast.
  12. Sonny Boy Williamson II performing Keep It To Your Self live at one of the 60's British Tours by American blues artists.
  13. Texas Songster Mance Lipscomb (1895-1976) plays and sings his rendition of this blues standard, Black Water Blues, written and introduced by Bessie Smith in 1927 and subsequently performed by countless others. While some live recordings of Mance's take on it have surfaced online, this recording—which originated from Mance's first field recording sessions with Chris Strachwitz and Mack McCormick at his home in Navasota, Texas, on August 13, 1960—was published only on Arhoolie's 1961 anthology 'Blues 'n Trouble' (Arhoolie F1006) and appears to be one of Mance's few Arhoolie recordings never reissued in digital format.
  14. Robert Johnson with Kind Hearted Woman Blues recorded in '36. This Song contains the only guitar solo Robert Johnson ever recorded. I very good example for his amazing talent. He plays rhythm and lead guitar on one instrument and at the same time.
  15. John Lee Hooker performing Boom Boom at a gig in France in '69. Hooker on guitar and vocals, Sunnyland Slim on piano, Willie Dixon playing bass; Johnny Shines on guitar, and Clifton James on drums.
  16. Gary B.B. Coleman with Elmore James' '59 The Sky is Crying off of his '92 Too Much Weekend album.
  17. Mississippi John Hurt performing live on Pete Seeger’s Rainbow Quest show a few months before his death in November '66.
  18. Excellent versions, xtrnuno41. The Hooters' cover has, as you say, a totally different but uniquely wonderful arrangement.
  19. Scrapper Blackwell with a cover of Jimmie Cox's '23 Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out. Off of his '62 Mr. Scrapper's Blues album.
  20. Muddy Waters with Champagne & Reefer off of his '81 King Bee album.
  21. Welcome to Tipper's Blues Hour . . . Lightnin' Hopkins with It's A Sin To Be Rich, It's A Low-Down Shame To Be Poor, recorded in '72.
  22. The traditional American folk song "In the Pines", also known as "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?", "My Girl", "Hey Girl", and "Black Girl." This rendition recorded by Huddie William Ledbetter, aka Lead Belly, sometime in the '40s. With this we will conclude Tippers Wholesome Hour.
  23. More great Americana music from Tipper's Wholesome Hour . . . The Carter Family performing Wildwood Flower at the Grand Ole Opry. My memories are more than a bit sparse during the late 50's. But one thing I do remember from back then is learning to whistle.
