OK
I have just had a look at a fiesta that I am interested in and am a little confused.
Firstly, the car is in great condition, unmarked, genuine low mileage, service record intact, insurance document showing 40% NCB.
But, here's the bit that is puzzling me. I was expecting a 120PS engine with a powershift system, cruise control etc. The transmission is a conventional auto system, no CC and the engine is 110PS.
Here is the summary of the car

I have a similar issue with 2 Minix U1 boxes that seem to lose connection, however the plug secures, but if remove and plug in again connection returns.
If you're looking for a decent box withKodi build, support and updates feel free to PM me.The TVAddons website (devoted to Kodi app add-ons) did a decent roundup the other day of what they call the best options for Android TV boxes. Good reading for any who want to bone up on the subject and some of the different hardware available.
https://www.tvaddons.ag/androidtv-kodi-boxes/
That's a bit odd to say the least.
Their number one recommendation is a device geared for gaming.
Two recommendations for devices that are Android derivatives where special procedures need to be used to install anything.
And no justification for their picks at all.
As I said, very odd. -
And there it is, you need to go to college (electrician course) to learn how to install and configure software that has been designed for easy installation.
But the good news is that "the boxs am great"

What should I be looking for?
The view that you want for movies, TV series etc
The maximum quality of the stream
Whether you want auto play or to be presented with a list of providers
Whether you want providers with captchas (you don't BTW)
Whether you want to download or just stream
Etc etc there are loads of options that you can customize to suit your preferences

Minix neo U9 has just started being available in the UK on advance orders - this will be a great box when it comes out!
Really? Do you have a link? I'd like one of these
The S912 issues must have been sorted to minix satisfaction?
-
Don't forget to take a look at the settings after the install.

JAS21 thanks, good advice.

Could anyone recommend a decent build I could download for Kodi on my laptop. I am interested in movies, TV series, and documentaries. Not interested in sport. Must be able to run Thai subtitles. Alternatively, can anyone recommend any particular youtube poster. I have noted that there are a number of build installment videos posted by various posters but they are not really focused on Thailand and I have no idea whether they are any good.
Don't waste your time with any builds, you don't need them, any of them. I'm sure there are some good ones, but I've never seen any.
YouTube is full of decent videos showing how to install add-ons additionally https://seo-michael.co.uk/ is an excellent source for step by step instructions.
Your needs are very modest and the add-ons exodus, specto fork, bob and SALTS will satisfy then completely.
Getting Thai subtitles to work on Windows is easy, on Android not so much. The reason is that the default Arial font does not support the Thai character set.
I have found that a good source of Thai fonts is, oddly enough, the university of Hawaii.
Getting them to work on Android is a bit of a pain, PM me if you want a full explanation.
Installing and configuring kodi is easily within the grasp of non tecky individuals and once done you are free not reliant on build authors not maintaining their code.-

Had Fords before, never had a problem.
Not sure how much of this is hype TBH, we'll see. -
I'm seeing one on Friday.
Yes, I am having second thoughts.
One owner, 15K km, full service history.
I'll see what I think about it on Friday. -
I'm not a particular fan of automatics, so i quite like the idea of this dual clutch system.
It seems odd that the people I've spoken to are unaware of the issue.
A cynic might say that this might be because I've only spoken to prospective sellers.
Another car that I like is the Suzuki swift RX, but the prices of these seem crazy in comparison with the Ford.
But, I admit, it's a concern with the fiesta if Ford would try and wiggle out of repairing it in the event of failure. -
Does anyone know if these letters went to every owner of a powershift model automatically?
If I bought a year old fiesta s and the owner did not have this letter, what would be my position?
Thanks -
I hope that they lock up the farang for a very long time please. I simply despise foreigners who ride bikes in thailand. Its already bad enough with the thai bike riders but these foreigners are like on a suicide mission. And worst when they kill others.
I've been pootling around on my agricultural Honda Wave for years now.
It's never once occurred to me that I was acting like a despicable foreigner on a suicide mission.
We all live and learn reading TV. -
As I understand you have no idea about Android boxes or what you're talking about, I am a Android box seller and make my own Kodi builds as well as support my customers, so odds are that I have owned S912 boxes even before you knew of their existence and am reporting FIRST HAND info.
Do you have any idea why umpteen firmware updates already were issued for these quite recent released boxes?
Hint : If it isn't broken it doesn't need a fix.
S912 boxes are heavily discounted in the market at the moment, cheaper than S905 boxes which are older and have only Android 5.1 installed, but I refuse to sell them to my customers. I let you figure out why that will be.
As I can see that you have the H96 Pro box, take a look here how many people have issues with the STOCK firmware.
https://www.google.co.th/search?q=H96+pro+issues&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-ab&gws_rd=cr&ei=hfarWIaeB8LYvATvy5qoBg
You can also fill in any other model or brand of S912 box in the google search bar to get similar results.
When you have highly respected and reputable manufacturers such as Minix bypassing the S912 processor, then it's probably a good idea to take note.
My Neo X8 lasted years without a single problem. Only reason I sold it was because it couldn't support anything above Android 4.4.
Currently have a Neo Z64W which also is 100% problem free.
I think I'll pass and wait for the next iteration of processor. -

BTW, PTFE, especially the gas, one wrap variety, is certainly better.
But, for an application where the orientation of the fittings is not important, then the sealant is perfectly good. -
would I (English) understand that as "plumbers mate"
No, different product completely.
A proper sealant will work OK, used to make gas tight joints so it will certainly work on water ones.
About 50 baht or so in the DIY places.
Guaranteed to work.
If you're local to me, I'll do it for you.

Use jointing paste in the female thread.

Are you committed to Android?
If not, why not consider a minix Z64W?
Needs a keyboard / air mouse of some sort. I'd recommend the minix A2 lite.
Should be able to get one for about 5K plus the mouse.
I've got one and kodi 17 runs perfectly on it.
Might be something to consider. -
I am in the process of returning it for a refund and I appreciate those recommendations, that was definitely one of the better looking boxes. My concern with that is the 5.1 android version which is a bit old and apparently cannot support the latest kodi nor be upgraded, but I was hoping to see if anyone had opinions on that. Thank you for the advice as well
Kodi 17 runs on 5.x and above. -
I've read that huge thread now.
Won't be pursuing this any further.
Thanks -
This Topic, just a few before yours, probably covers just about all you want to know ...
[/url] Of course age and price also need taking into consideration. If you know the VIN number then input it into http://www.etis.ford.com/ and it might give you a little information.
We have an EcoBoost ... built Dec 2013 and we bought it new June 2015! did get 100Kthb off it.
To date 15000kms, have only had updated software in the TCM and the water pump changed ... water pumps do fail on it, think a supply problem and the seal leaks slightly. It used a little bit of water and I complained so they changed the pump and all is okay now. The pumps which are supplied now are supposed to be okay.
If it has PPP (look up what it is) could be a good move. Or you could buy it if less than three years old if you are concerned.
If you have to pay ... clutch about 12000thb and TCM about 20000thb but warranty is 5Y and 10Y respectively so I understand.
Great little car on a run, a little jerky in stop/go situation.
You do realise that it is not an automatic in the conventional sense.
Thanks.
Nope, never driven one. -
I was interested in buying a used fiesta, but on doing a little research I see that there have been problems with the powershift system globally.
My little bit of digging around also revealed quite a lot of dissatisfaction with Ford service agents in Thailand.
Can someone who knows bring me up to speed on this?I'm not being lazy, I would just like to hear of people's experiences here.
And lastly, would you buy a used Ford with this transmission system fitted?
Many thanks
Second hand Ford fiesta - would you buy

Can someone explain to me how this is a sport model?
Also, the manual is in Thai, does anyone have a link to a downloadable English version?
Thanks
