Unless she's had a real job or owns property or has tangible and real reasons for the US Embassy staff to believe she will return, you and he, just as well save your money and time, because they will not give her one.

If she owns property or has a job, a real job, that she has had for a while, then she might be in luck to get a tourist visa and once in the US, she can apply to convert it to a more long-term visa.

You're marrying her for him, well, that sounds like a recipe for disaster, but its your disaster. Besides, even if you do marry her, there's no guarantee and the finacee visa takes something like 3-4 months or longer to process. There's every chance they would smoke out the truth in that time and deny it anyway.

Are any of you surprised, shocked, saddened, or happy when you really think about the immense population of non-thai people inhabiting LOS?  How many other third-world countries have this many foreigners running around?

Not in the least. Frankly seem like a silly issue, but I'm sure some, like Kwiz, who thinks all us Americans are Buddha hating, culture killing ogres, would disagree.

I was just looking through here and saw a topic that, whimsical as I am, compelled me to register at last, well, re-register since I have long been inactive.

Then I log on to make a comment and was denied permission, etc... Refreshed, only to find the topic was missing.

Perhaps if I buy advertising from you, I can get such protection for my business as well since the comments were about a certain American sandwich franchise located on Sukhumvit in Bangkok.
