Phrae today between AQI 293 and AQI 322. - As often we don't smell it.
But the horizon is grey, the air above bright-white milky. - The AQI-Calculator
will not calculate. Too much? - https://www.airnow.gov/aqi/aqi-calculator/

'Nanoparticles' is a bit different.
Ultrafine dust or ultrafine particles (UFP) are usually particles in the air with a diameter between 1 and 100 nanometers (nm). In addition to the PM10 and PM2.5 fractions, the UFP fraction is the smallest particle of fine dust.
Well, I would be happy, if the PM2.5 story would improve.

But not enough. An additional PM2.5-meter might give 'better' results.

Was the air quality this bad for this long before?
Perhaps this might be interesting for you?

Sorry, some minor mistakes above.

Yet again , who to believe ?
ventusky.com is a great site. But not always correct. It is important to keep
in mind that the numerical model predicts the atmosphere in simplified form.
Better compare different sites all the time.
This is ChiangRai - Phrae at 18:00 (https://aqicn.org/here) while at 18:46 Lampang,
Phrae and Phayao (https://www.iqair.com/) were in Thailand's Top Ten, believe it or not.
May be this helps? https://www.ventusky.com/webview/help.php

PM2.5 - this is the problem in Thailand.
Not AQI.
https://www.iqair.com/thailand/bangkok
Phrae PM2.5 114 ug/m3 - AQI 181
CR PM2.5 48 ug/m3 - AQI 132
CM PM2.5 40 ug/m3 - AQI 112
BKK PM2.5 56 ug/m3 - AQI 151
AQI often only seems to blur the real situation.
I would prefer released measurements of PM2.5.

Laos: Two power plants planned for sale of electricity to Cambodia
in Cambodia News

Thanks for the link, geovalin.
Of course(?) they are writing in 'thestar.com.my' just about 'coal-fired' power plants.
Not mentioning it is lignite-fired, considered the dirtiest and cheapest coal which
is very harmful to humans. - More information about the lignite-fired power plant
Hongsa, adjacent to Thailand's Nan Province: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hongsa
and about lignite: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lignite
There is already a c-f p p near Lampang, Mae Moh and an additional c-f p p near
Tak, Mae Sot. - They might be responsible, at least partially for the northern air pollution.
Of course, they will never be the root cause.
