  1. Ring Thailand Post helpline, the number is on there site, www.thailandpost.com they should be able to tell you which office it is at

You can also track your parcel on the same website, it may tell you where it is at on there, Track and Trace then choose the English option if you can't read Thai and enter the tracking number

Thanks I wasn't aware I could use the UK tracking number on the Thai Post website. It states that the parcel is out for re-delivery and I've notified the lazy arse receptionists in the condo to give me a call if it arrives today.

    Appreciate the help!

  2. You should try the main Post Office almost opposite The Floating Market on Sukhumvit.

Take your passport and the customs declaration number provided by your shipper.

As stated, drive down sukie towards Rayong, after you pass the floating make a uturn and head back towards Pattaya, the main post office will be about 500 meters up on the left. If you come to the stoplight, you've gone too far. Parcel pickup window is outside on the left towards the back.

Thanks. I have a Parcelforce tracking number? Don't have a customs declaration number?

  3. We have had a fairly large parcel posted from the UK to Pattaya and I've been able to track it online using Parcel Force.

It states online that they have attempted to deliver and it's current status is 'Held'.

The reception of our condo building said that there hasn't been a delivery note left. Will they try to deliver it again or can I go and pick it up from somewhere?

  4. Can anyone recommend a really good and clean tattoo artist in Pattaya? I'm aware there are hundreds of them and I've also been down the Art Street at the side of Mike's Shopping Mall but I'm just looking for recommendations.

    Cheers.

  5. there is a shop on Sukhumvit on the left going north around Ban Amphur and as I recall before the traffic lights at Ban Amphur. Just past the fire station I think. Drive slowly as the shop front is small and set back but deceptively large inside.

Thanks for the info but I'm not sure of that area. I live in south Pattaya around the 2nd Road / Walking Street area.

  6. Hello,

Does anyone know of any good hobbies, arts & crafts shops in Pattaya? Places that sell materials for making jewellery and beads etc. We had a look in the place on 4th floor central festival called Pinn but they don't stock it in Pattaya, only in Bangkok.

    Cheers.

  7. It could well be that the PCX in Thailand is different from the one sold in the UK. You better want to check that.

You also want to know about possible import duties.

As for shipping it, it is not really a problem, provided that the paperwork is in order.

Sounds like it's easier to keep the Scooter in Thailand and buy another when back in the UK.

  8. My partner and I are living in Pattaya for 1 year and then going back to the UK. There are 2 little stray cats that hang around outside our condo building that we feed regularly. We have a cat back in the UK at the moment but we would like to take the 2 street cats back to the UK with us in a years time. If that's not possible, we'd simply like to get the cats vaccinated and fixed up at the Vets and continue feeding them for as long as we can.

Do you know how much is would be to get both cats vaccinated and probably neutered in the Pattaya area?

What are the rules about exporting the Cats back to the UK with us and what would the process be?

Any help would be much appreciated.

  9. To the op of this thread, and a lot of other people. This is Thailand, right? When your talking about prices, how about using Thai Baht, not £ or € or $, We are people from many countries, here on TV, so it would uncomplicate things when comparing prices. By the time pounds are Baht, then back to dollars, the original amount is lost. And why compare prices here, to back home? Its alright to compare to different shops around town, but I havent a clue what your pound is in Thailand, and I dont want to know.

Oh, another pointless post from someone who has posted in a topic they are clearly not interested in taking part in. I compare prices in UK £ because that's what I get my salary paid in whilst working in Thailand. If you can't be bothered taking part in a discussion I suggest you take your comments elsewhere. Much like you are not interested in knowing what the currency rate of the UK Pound to Baht is, I and many others who have taken part in this discussion, are not interested in your pointless comments. I bid you a good day and hope you are fruitfully being ripped of right left and center each and every day.

  10. To the above poster... it's amazing what a couple of paragraph breaks can do to entice someone to read your post... but thanks, I agree, those who complain about the prices, should not visit Villa and that's exactly what I'm going to do... unless I need more Robinsons juice smile.png

Robinson's Squash is cheaper at Friendship...

I imagine it would be but I couldn't find it a couple of days ago when I was in there. I'll keep looking.

  11. Boring or what!!! who the hell cares about supermarket prices, give the wife money ..bye dear see you later ,go get a beer or3.

But it makes a difference if you gave your wife the money to go and get the shopping and she went to Villa and then could only afford to buy you half the amount of beer that you would normally get.

  13. No blagging please, that would be disrespectful as its for charity, besides it's a sit down event and you would stand out like a sore thumb and more than likely asked to leave. Suggest you check in the Pattaya Mail or on the care for kids website for the organisers numbers, there may be a few spare tickets due to no shows.

When I said blagging, I meant blagging my way in by paying on the door...

I contacted Debs at Care For Kids and they have put me on a small waiting list for tickets. They will call if any become available. Gutted I missed this. Ah well, hopefully Jimmy will be back next year.
