    Do you think that the alternatives (True, TOT, 3BB) are any better ?

    At least with Sophon you got to talk to someone who at least admitted that you were not the problem

    My 3BB is working great not a problem what so ever, been a customer for 5 years. Best provider in town.

    How Has Pattaya Changed Since You First Came Here?

    First time I visited Thailand was early October 1983. Been through when Second Rd was 2 way street from Pattaya Klang to Pattaya Nua but no sidewalks. Soi Buakow was called soi Shokoprokh cos dirty and no asphalt, Pattaya Klang was dead and hardly no buildings, Foodland was build 1993. Walking Street was called The Golden Mile and from soi 15 to the police box was dark and no activity, it was even scary to walk there. Only one disco,“Marine Disco” and it closed 6 am, there was “Grace” as well but it was quite slow.October 1983 was very rainy and heavy downpours for 3 days,total 480mm and Beach Rd was washed away in 2 places.

    You did the shopping at Spinneys in soi Post Office.The going rate for the ladies was 300 Baht long time and the bar fines was 80 baht. The rate was 25 baht to the US $$.We drank Mehkong/coke and my first one was in the bar beside the Big Tree and cost me 15 baht. Lam Morrison played at the Saloon bar and Rod Steward advertising Kloster Beer.

    Been through coup in Bangkok, 1993 I think, and Bangkok Post was censored with partly blank pages. PM Khun Suchinda was kicked out of office and ended up near the Cambodia border in a fancy villa. July 1997 started the economic meltdown, and Jan-Feb-98 was a good time to send money toThailand when you got about 53 baht to the greenback and 85 baht to the pound. The interest rate was 12-15%.The land price in Pattaya Tai, soi Kopai, was 2.300baht/twa. Now they ask for 38.000/twa.

    Rent your motorbike.

    Rent your house/condo…and you’ll be fine.

    That's a lot of rent to pay every month allex.

    It's so weird, but a few days ago a Swede killed his Thai girlfriend's Facebook friend simply because she had wanted to meet him. People responded that it was essentially the Thai girl's fault. Stupid things like, "you can take the girl out of Thailand, but you can't take Thailand out of the girl." But if a Western person is murdered, it's like the culprits are slime of the earth. These responses are legitimate, to hate those who murder, but to have such obvious racist responses to who gets killed and who gets blamed is just part of this very bigoted Thailand experience. Not to diminish what has happened to Michele Smith.

    The ”Swede” was a 18 yo boy from Iraq with a Swedish passport.

    For your information pal,i have lived in Pattaya for 9 years,so i am speaking of experience

    I’ve lived in Pattaya 29 years and not a problem so far. Pattaya is a safe place to stay.

    I have been with 3BB for 4 years in Pattaya Tai and seldom have any problems.

    Great service and I clock 2,8 MB on a Premier 3/1 MB. I pay 3.499 B/3months.

    Do they bill you 3 monthly? I have the same service but pay 1166 per month. BTW, this service is no longer available to new customers. The only premier service now available is 5/1 Mb for 2500 per month (excluding tax).

    It's my idea to pay every 3 months. It's more convenience for me.

    I think it is far to expensive to pay 2.675 baht/month, incl. for 2 extra Mb.

    I agree, but if you let your 3Mb service lapse you'd have no choice. New customers have no choice. We'll probably be at a disadvantage in the future when they increase the speed of the 5Mb/1Mb and leave us in the dust.

    How do you find it? I've also been using it for a long while - over 5 years.

    I signed up for Indy pack late 2006 but found it shitty so upgraded to Premier when it was available.

    I find it hard to believe that 3BB just ´´leave us in the dust´´, we are after all old customers, so my guess is if they increase the speed of the 5Mb/1Mb they upgrade us to 5/1Mb for free as a bonus, they’d done it before.

    I'm paying 990baht a month, 6MB. Why you all paying so much?

    That’s probably 3BBs Indy pack. Good for domestic not international.
