none of my massage girls in the past put their back on me.. instead they give me their Line and put their effort to make me satisfied...good lord and good old days. One of the reason i love LOS...god bless this country

i think you misunderstood me, i meant, really make an effort,

use their muscles instead of just pretending to work,

if it isnt hard enough to make me squeel it does not have therapeutic value.

i have absolutely zero interest in them beside another massage if it was effective.

an example, i currently go to a ladyboy, i got zero interest and would much prefer a girl,

but fact is he is stronger and make an effort to help.

my experience with massage in LOS is, 95% of them are a waste of time and money, and that is precisely why i give those few that ARE good a tip, cause i need them

Wait a minute "geriatrickid" or whatever you called yourself. Where did you get the informations from? That Thailand doesn't want impoverished retirees. Who exactly doesn't want impoverished farangs let's get things straight, the government of Thailand? The Thai people in general? Or is it your imagination or conjecture?

Look, show me any written form in English or Thai(I will get it translated) that the not so rich retirees are not welcome in Thailand and there is actually covert action to make it difficult for them to live their twilight years in this god forsaken country.

Well, geriatickid I am waiting for your answer. No, no, don't run away.

Thai people loves farangs who are not so rich because they feel at home with them ,"we same same, no big house , no big car".

not a fan of geriatriks holier then thee speeches but,

thaksin went out on television and said 'we dont want low quality falang, we want high quality falang'

translated for anyone familiar with thai classification that means

    low quality=poor & high quality=rich

Try getting a visa to retire (or even a tourist visa) in my country, Australia by a Thai national, and I imagine that there are many countries that impose far harsher and more restrictive immigration practices than Thailand.

the difference is that in your country, the government and more importantly the tax payers, will pay all the bills and on top of that give social security to the thai national, should the need ever arise,

and it just so happens that the need almost invariably arise.

for us here, the thai government wont ever hand out squat,

but are on the contrary squealing if we die without having paid

    hospital & cremation fee first

  4. first year in thailand, i was so happy to see the sun

so i spent all time outdoors, that means no fan and no ac,

and i had no issues at all, i remember a western woman

had to touch my skin to make sure she wasnt hallucinating cause i didnt sweat, at all.

later on i bought a computer and began to spend my life with it,

and now i cant make it 5 minutes even without a fan,

you just adapt to whatever you do, spend a few weeks outdoors and

it wont even come to your mind you would want an ac

You see, for all those fluent in Thai but who cannot read or write, I admire you for your memory. I have always needed to take notes, at the beginning I used the alphabet but soon abandoned it for Thai characters. For those who want to learn Thai, the simple way is to learn to write Thai.

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

for me i need to take a picture with my eyes to memorize it,

so english letters do just fine for as long as i wrote them myself to get the sound right as i see it.

even when i could write i would still rely on my transliteration

i wish to warn everyone about not converse for a while,

i went out of thailand for 3 years and didnt chat with anyone in thai,

(or otherwise), and now i just cant talk or understand thai any longer,

my maid think i speak thai so she come and complain about her hardship/gossip/others and i havnt got a clue,

i'm limited to order food these days and even then i cant remember most dishes

same thing happened with german before that,

    use it or lose it

I'm so tired of these posts that boil down to 'I'm contributing more into the Thai economy than you, because I'm married and have children....

The simple fact that un-married, retired folk need to have 65,000 bht p.m. (up until now...) or 800k in the bank - rather disproves your point....

I'm in a bad mood, but even so would prefer not to go down the 'I put more into the Thai economy than you' argument.....

if its any consolation, i'm with you on this one,

only case it may no longer true is if the 400k guy have to spend 10 times more on visa than the 800k guy, if the 800k guy wishes to live as frugal as the 400k guy have to

nope. you cannot make a statement of fact if it cannot be proved. its only an opinion

the burden of proof is on you to provide anything of substance

that your argument has any substance,

until then its just another delusional irrational gibberish,

which works well for religious arguments / superstition  but

does not fit in the modern world of critical thinking

I would be nervous about buying an expensive item from Aliexpress, which has to be prepaid. Will it arrive? If there is a fault how do you get it replaced? Will you get stung by thai customs? Even 34,000 baht is hardly a bargain.

i have bought a number of stuff from aliexpress & alibaba,

it all went well except the last item the thai postal office phoned me and told i had to go there myself and pick it up

because i hadnt used all the suffixes in my address.

the issue is that a thai address is so long so formal letters with a windows dont fit it all, and there is only so many spaces available when ordering online, i think its 160 keyboard points including spaces between words, i tried to ditch 'nongprue & banglamung to fit it all, that didnt go down well with the post.

one item i got flogged with import tax

  9. i checked out the Blackview P10000 Pro,

battery seem like it might be up to snuff,

and it seem to be more rugged than ulefone.

ulefone power 5 otoh has 1/3 more ram and a wireless charger,

and for sure will outlast anything else on the market on my #1 priority, -the sucker wont be dead if i want to use it or someone phone me.

it would be nice to say the least if it came in a ruggedized version

Here are a couple of big battery phones you might also want to consider; the HomTom HT70 and the Blackview P10000 Pro which have a 10000 mAh and a 11000 mAh battery.  All three phones were released about the same time in March or April 2018.

The dimensions of the Ulefone are 80.2 x 169.4 x 15.8 vs 77 x 165 x 14.7 for the Blackview vs 77 x 165.5 x 14.5 for the HomTom.  The weight of the Ulefone is 330 grams vs 293 grams for the Blackview and 309 grams for the HomTom.

The HomTom is the least expensive with the weakest CPU and camera.  Tha Ulefone is the most expensive with the best rear camera and the same CPU as the Blackview.

I don't really get the point of lugging around a phone with a 10000 mAh battery when there are many phones with a 6000 mAh battery in a smaller, lighter body such as the Cubot Power which has a sleek 74.39 x 158.39 x 10.75 body, a 215 gram weight,  a 6000 mAh battery, and the same 6 inch screen.  The display area of the Cubot Power is 78.84 % vs 68.6 % for the Ulefone.

i'm unable to remember to charge the phone every_day,

and as a result i have no phone if i carry it.

it wasnt like this 20 years ago, 20 years ago a man could charge his phone once a week and that was the end of it
