The new Focus (August launch) wipes the floor with the Civic in terms of performance, driving dynamics, specification, technology and looks (subjective of course). The only thing the Civic wins on is residual value. If you like the Civic check out the Corolla Altis as well as its on a par with it.

Car is fine. Service is super bad. Chevrolet is a disgrace to car service. They don't know how to adjust a parking brake so now my left rear caliper has been loose for 2 months.

I'm trying another dealer tomorrow and will report back.

Now the car is great. But what about 6 years from now when I have a serious problem? How are these muppets going to fix it?

Screw it. I've lost all faith in their service.

This weekend one of 2 things will happen.

A) the new dealer will actually be able to adjust the parking brake (thereby adjusting the brakes -yes that's the way GM car work)

B ) I will drive straight to Honda next to my house and order a Civic 1.8E Navi.

…and never buy anything other than Honda in this stupid country.

I'm not the only GM customer complaining about it obviously. Crap part I think. There's no solution. So, I think I'll get rid of it. I can't take it anymore. The car sounds like its falling apart.

I also make sure I post any thread of people who bought one and tell them to return it and buy a Ford Focus.

Fact is, we love the Cruze. If we didn't I would just get rid of it.

I could get rid of it immediately if I wanted to. At the Isuzu dealer, even though we told the sales girl NOT to tell those people to come, they showed up anyway and were salivating over the Cruze. Said they had a customer waiting for it.

Why would I keep driving a crap car? Does that make sense? I would just get another one.

Look at all the good things people said when I wasn't here. Then I said I bought one and it all changed.

The only issues I've had is with the service. But it is not terrible, it's just that at the dealer I went to the mechanics are stupid. Trying another one this week.

Other than that, the Cruze has been the best car I've ever owned. And MUCH better than the rebadged City/Civic. I mean, what's the difference between a Top City and. civic. Civic is small inside as it is. Uncomfortable in the back.

Cruze is where is at.

Mazda 3 is crap. Looks huge outside. Then you get inside and you feel like you're inside a Brio.

TC, why don't you go try a Mazda BT50 or a Ranger before you rule out trucks? I tried a BT50 and I liked it.

Better rides than outdated Vigo's and Dmax's.

Went inside the BT-50. Same cheap plastic pickup feeling. Haven't tried the Ford yet. And the Mazda looks gay.
