  1. Hi

Can anyone tell me price of basic auto Elantra in TL?

Also what is the warrantee do they have 5 years standard as in other countries? What about depreciation?

Someone advised me against Hyundai as not too many service centres but there seems to be ones in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai so not sure if that a problem

    Google. Then type "Hyundai Thailand".

  2. Went to the dealer in front of my house. Within 10 minutes I had 3 guys from some dealer wanting to buy my Cruze. We argued that we didn't want to now. We were just looking. They offered 600,000. No. They said it could be more. They wouldn't leave it alone.

Then we took the Dmax for a drive.

    Things I like:

It's tall. Very tall. The brakes are great. Stops on a dime. Steering is precise.

    Where the love stops:

Engine is really loud when you step on it. The interior looks cheap. But worst of all, it's like driving a trampoline down the road. Bouncing up and down and left and right every which way. We felt like we were inside a dryer tumbling around.

We couldn't wait to get back to the Cruze.

    I don't think I'm a Pickup guy. I can't see myself commuting on that.

Either Pajero or a sedan. No pickups.

  3. My Cruze has been nearly perfect for over a year, yet you people can't take that.

Everyone comes here with serious issues. Squealing tires, Rusty 1 month old Rangers, whirring engines, etc etc. you guys have nothing but compliments on their purchase. Even saying a 1 month d rusty pickup is normal.

I say my Cruze is great. All you guys can say is that it's a "rebadged Daewoo". Like that joke wasn't burned out a year ago when I bought it.

Have fun on your rusty fords. Mitsubishis that can't take Gasohol or they'll break. Whirring engines; noisy tires, etc etc etc.

Go ahead and keep opening threads about all your millions and which BMW you should get.

    It's all English pretentious bullshit.

  4. Yea right. Sure.

But yea. The BEST pickup right now is the Dmax. Everything else is shit

Ranger - Rusty before 2 months

Mitsubishi - Rusty too I bet. Also my water pump is Mitsubishi. I don't want my car to be made by the same people who made the water pump at the back of my house.

Toyota - plastic old overpriced shit.

    Navara - More plastic shit.

Dmax is where is at. Period. Either that or a new Colorado.

And yet yesterday you started a thread about the Pajero Sport as you thought there might be a possibility you would buy one.

I think the only thing shit in this thread is you.

Once I said the Pajero is nothing more than a Triton with more seats. You guys came in arguing that the Pajero was a totally different car. Not you're saying the Pajero and the Triton are the same.

Then I said I bought a Cruze. Made fun of it because its a Daewoo (which is the only thing you guys can say about it and have been for the last year). My Cruze has been perfect. You guys can't take it. Guy comes in with w Rusty 1 month old Ranger. No joke from you. Just that "oh it's normal".

  5. Folk shouldn't post with obscenities. My young son was reading over my shoulder, & now I have to try & explain what a Daewoo is......

That's all the ammo you guys have. Even though my Daewoo hasn't given me any problems but your Fords are rusting after a month of use and your Mitsubishis can't handle Gasohol.

  6. Sadly although the OP wishes he had bought one, this being the only possible logical reason for the vitriolic post, there would appear to be something wrong with the fuel gauge. Recall is a bit strong at least here in LOS, usually stuff gets fixed at the next service with no fuss.

Yea sure. Then what? Is Mitsubishi going to fix the fact the cars can't handle the Gasohol? Will it break again?

    It's recalled because its XXXX.

  7. Yea right. Sure.

  8. If your tyres are squealling it means they are sliding, not necessarily a bad thing

I remember my Suzuki Vitara came with Bridgestone tyres and they always squealled under stress

but the slide was very gentle and controlled.

Around 60-70000km I had to replace them and chose Dunlop.

No squeal, but I had the feeling that once they did start to slide it would

    be sudden and possibly catastrophic

You're lucky it's a Suzuki. That way people offer you advise. If you started with "My Cruze tires are squealing" you'll get a bunch of posts telling you how shit it is. Rebadged Daewoo.

Apparently all cars can have problems except the Cruze.

  9. Is ford going to do anything with this rust issue? If it's a bad batch of bolts there should be a number of complaints, and the fix is simply to replace them with properly treated ones. After getting them fixed I'd be inclined to get the under body coated to prevent moisture and repeat it every 6 months.

It's not a bad batch. The Ranger is shit and gets rust. That's it.

Also, Ford service in Thailand is worse than Chevrolet.

You want to buy a pickup? Get a Dmax like every construction guy out there.

    cheesy.gif , Ohhhhhhhhhh the blind. cheesy.gif

Yea. Ford service here is top notch.

    Ask any Thai.

Also, by you guy's own admission, Ford service is shit. Guy buys a brand new Ranger. He takes it back less than 60 days later with Rust. Answer = oh. That's normal.

    Insert laughing smiley here.

  10. My wife has just got the Mitsubishi Mirage starts at 380k goes up to 546k. Problem for you may be delivery time. You may consider looking at repossessions and there are a lot of them around st the moment. The easiest mak to finde is Toyota who have set up second hand dealerships under the name 'Sure'. For others you may have to look up financial companies websites or find out where a local auction type sale is held.

Don't put gasohol in it. It breaks down.
