I'm only 25 and I can't really see myself here in 10 years time. I fully understand why people want to retire here etc but for my age I just see living in Thailand as a chapter in my life which will not be a permanent thing.

I don't think this a troll post at all...
I'm sometimes amazed at how dumb some guys in Thailand can be to put up with the blatant shit that happens in relationships over here.
The same goes for Western women - Thai guy relationships but its obviously less common.
Please note - I am in no way suggesting that ALL Thai - Western relationships are failures.

Is that bullshit I can smell?

I don't think anyone was claiming that it was just Thailand who had taxi drivers ripping people off.
People get ripped off in every country these days.

I tried to learn Thai and I can speak it quite basic and get from A to B - However I am definitely not fluent...
Of course it would be easier to live in a foreign country and be able to speak the same language fluently. This would apply to any country I'm sure.
However I don't feel the need to. I'm a straight woman for starters so I'm not going to end up with a lo-so Thai woman or university educated woman or whatever and my boyfriend is from England.
So far, all the Thai people I know can speak English enough fine for me to be able to converse with them, so learning Thai is not a necessity for me.
However I think if you were married to a Thai person or with one, then you should make the effort. At the end of the day - the other person is making the effort to talk English with you.

I like the video, it's a positive portrayal on Thailand in general and makes you realise why you wanted to move here in the first place.
However the novelty wears off when you've been in any one place for a while, that's for sure.

Tesco are horrible in the UK, trying to take over everywhere pretty much! Over in Thailand though, the shelves are always bare and they never have what I want so I rarely shop there these days.
I doubt they'll pull out of Thailand though.

Narai pizza is awful though. One of the worse pizzas in Thailand I've ever eaten! But maybe I just got unlucky?

You can sell in on craigslist or in panthip plaza or mbk.
You'll probably get a better price for it on craigslist though.
You can probably get the screen replaced for about 3,000 - 4,000 baht in panthip. I have done that before.

Smile at them and they usually smile back.
Works for me!

Never agreed with her politics and whatnot and I was born too late to be affected directly by her...
However may the old lady rest in peace.

No it doesn't affect me but I do wonder why some people bother living here when they have nothing but bad things to say about the place!

I personally wouldn't want twins as I think one baby at a time is enough!
However if I was able to choose... I'd like a boy first and then a girl so he could grow up and look after his little baby sister.

Also, I really don't know why people move to Thailand to end up scraping by the barrel.
Don't people move away from their home countries to get away from all that and live a better life?!

If you can't get the money as a loan off a friend or family member then you obviously have no choice but to go back home.
Cancelling Fitnessfirst Membership From Outside The Uk?
in General Topics
Posted
Does anyone know of how to cancel my FitnessFirst membership if I am not present in the country?
I'm currently in the UK at the moment and I wish to cancel my membership from the UK. All the UK Fitness First numbers are not being very helpful and there is no number on the website.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers in advance!
