  1. Or, the immigrants may win and impose Sharia Law.
  2. And that throwing American tax money is the only solution. Take Twitter (X) as an example. Musk eliminated 80% of the employees, cut overhead by about the same, and still delivers a better product. He got rid of the cliques working at odds to the company's goals. That's what needs to happen across the gub'ment. Get rid of the cliques working against the interests of the American citizenry. On an aside, I'd bet the program was riddled with DEI and gender pandering. At a huge cost and deleterious effect. It needs to be reconstituted without all that.
  3. Here I thought the thread was going to be about the woke mind virus.
  4. That phenomenon goes a long way to explaining why Trump won, why he appointed Hegseth and why Hegseth has invited DOGE into the Pentagon.
  5. But they're not. They're cancelling a bloated, over-expensive plane that's years behind in scheduling deliveries. It's like if I cancelled that pizza I ordered to watch the game 2 hours ago, then blamed it on Trump. No. It's not Trump. The game's over and my buddies already left.
  6. I wonder how many times you can post a photo of the same billboard before you have to pay royalties?
  7. Feral dogs must be profitable, because I see so many of them being raised all over LOS.
  8. That's not what the OP titles say. Nor the lefties crying in almost every single thread in this section. Even the threads about problems in Europe and Asia are Trump's fault. TBH, it's gotten rather tedious. And sad.
  9. So what you're saying is that it's not probably really about Trump?
  10. Meanwhile, in the least prosperous country in Western Europe: Portugal, Western Europe’s least affluent nation, is on the brink of yet another government shake-up, fueled largely by rising discontent over immigration. The country has become a magnet for digital nomads and affluent expatriates, leading to surging living costs and growing support for the far-right. Maybe they just can't afford them any more?
  11. Perhaps he realized that being popular while his adopted country swirled down the toilet wasn't as important as helping to stop the swirling.
  12. Seems like it's all going according to plan. Not the people's plan, of course. But someone's.
  13. If we're knuckle draggers, how is it that you geniuses lost? The White House, the Senate and the House. That takes next level stupidity, to lose to a 34x convicted felon.
  14. It's going to be fun to see them finally get held to account for their crimes. And no doubt AOC and Maxine will be advocating a bail fund. Like they did for the mostly peaceful city burnings.
  15. Good info, and a great cautionary tale. If I did vape, I'd probably keep my head down for a while.
  16. Out of curiosity, did he get a receipt from the popo? I'm not doubting that it happened. Just wondering how above board it was?
  17. All that may be true. But smoking is worse. If the choice is vaping or nothing, nothing is probably better for you. If the choice is vaping or smoking, the best argument against vaping seems to be the chance of getting tossed in jail. That's what makes it more hazardous. It's been the same with weed vs booze for most of my entire life. Weed may not be good, but booze is worse. But you won't get arrested for a few booze seeds in your car's carpeting.
  18. Ummm.. It's the beginning of spring in the USA, not the end of summer. Try harder next time.
  19. Meanwhile, the price of gas is less than $3 at the pump in 31 states. Don't take my word for it. Google it.
  20. Sad story all around, at several levels. I hope she didn't suffer on the canopy after she landed.
  21. Pack into an hour or less and I may watch it. 8 hours? No thanks. What do they figure is the market size of people willing to watch 8 hours? It's more like a vanity project that's bound to lose money.
  22. My suggestion would be to go by the Thaniya Plaza near the Sala Daeng (sp?) BTS stop (MRT Silom) and ask around the golf shops in that building. They'll have current info. And it's worth a visit if you're a golfer in Bangkok. You may end up at a completely indoor facility as opposed to a typical outdoor driving range.
  23. Got no problem with that. You earned it. But I'm not sure the youngsters traveling the world on disability have kicked in their fair share just yet.
  24. I can also afford to eat out in Bangkok. New Orleans? Not so much. More specifically, I can afford the food that Bangkok is famous for. New Orleans has great food, but bring money. Lots of it if you want to eat somewhere famous. Though they do have some great, affordable holes in the wall.
