  1. No I did not.Perhaps later the blocked banks will update their systems and be allowed again.?Or I can add her Krungthai bank account.
  2. Not long after I added my wife's Omsin (Government Savings) bank account as a new recipient on Wise.Hopefully this is only a temporary problem...
  3. Not received anything as yet but I didn't get anything from Kbank either..
  4. Just rang Maneerat and they are saying they can still do visa extensions just something has changed with the bank no more details than that.
  5. I only went to get a TIN with a yearly bank statement as they had earlier requested and somehow ended up filing a return! The tax officer started to fill it in without me even realising what was happening or asking any questions.Luckily I had a copy of my wife's and her son's id cards to show her so I got all my allowances and deductions.... totalling 590,000 baht. I thought my liability was 0 after allowing for the uk thai dta but she wouldn't entertain that or appear to know what I was talking about so I never even mentioned pre 2024 money as I had no supporting docs.Because my liability came to very little and to avoid a return trip and the hassle of providing docs. I just paid up.The whole experience was bizaare.Next year I won't exceed 590,000 baht in remittances which is eas[ly arranged to ensure no liability.
  6. One way to avoid the inevitable chaos/complications and not pay too much tax is (if possible) to remit only slightly more than your allowances/deductions forget about dta's and money in the bank pre 2024.Not ideal but I got the impression filing at Jomtien if they could tax you a little to make it worth their time things would go smoother for all concerned.TIT.
  7. Not an ex government worker...although they never asked probably as they spoke little English.I was hoping to get credit for the UK tax paid not an exemption.
  8. Disclaimer this is not tax advice just my recent experience. In my case I went to Jomtien to get a TIN and ended up unexpectedly filing a tax return as I had a yearly bank statement with me detailing all my remittances to Thailand which actually saved me a return trip and I ended up paying a very small amount of tax. I had remitted money to Thailand from my UK pensions one private which I had paid tax on in the UK and my old age pension. However they refused to even consider the Thai UK dta which I thought would have reduced my liability to zero giving me the impression it was better not to argue. They also dismissed one debit card purchase from a UK bank.I suspect just like immigration offices policies will vary from office to office or even between individual officers.I left with mixed emotions glad to have the experience over with but also feeling my case was possibly not properly dealt with.
  9. i would add you have done all you can as many others have and that tax officers are the last people anyone wants to upset by repeatedly asking.
  10. There have been multiple such reports what a mess!
  11. Or it may be just assessable. The wording is vague IMO..taxable income in Thailand could be read as money earned in Thailand.
