This is mainly about the Chinese scooter drivers up here which are really out of control. Pai the same.

They get here, jump on a scooter with their lovely little yellow helmets and proceed to drive the wrong way down a one way street.

In Pai I saw one get on a bike outside the hire center and proceed to pull the accelerator and crash straight into the opposite wall.

It really needs to be seen to be believed. And it's not only scooters, they are a bloody nightmare on bicycles up here too.

And this is low season, can't wait to see what the high season brings...

I must disagree with you though, this does show a level of sheer stupidity, flood prevention or no flood prevention.

The villagers are right, only wrong government, it's not the Thai government, it's the US that uses Google to spy on us all over the world. Google maps is an essential part of it, combined with info from our email and what we all post on Facebook so they have a very detailed picture of what we do exactly where and when.

So whats the consensus then?

On a 1 year multiple entry Non-O marriage visa can you just go to the Immigration department, say for instance here in Chiang Mai, every 90 days or do you need to still do the 90 day border run.

I always assumed it was only retirees and people on work permits that could report to their local immigration department rather than running to the border.

Would love to have this cleared up as would save me a tonne of time each 90 days plus less back pain from cramped up, break neck speed bus journeys.
