long time lurker looking for some advice.

Planning to come to Chiang Mai for 120 days (double entry tourist Visa) and I'm looking to insure myself for medical emergency.

Cheapest I can find in UK is £100 plus.

Is this the sort of thing I could buy in Chiang Mai.

I realise the UK bought would probably cover for me to be flown back to UK, but not particularly bothered about that. Not bothered about losing luggage, phones etc, just looking to be covered in event of medical emergency.

I am 47 year old male in good health. Any advice appreciated.

Maybe I'm missing it, but I do not see where women in general are dissed. The OP is complaining about one specific woman and mentions "others", but I think that he means other bad drivers including men.

Let's see -- postings # 2, 7, 8, 12, 18 aren't especially respectful toward women and could be taken to indicate that women aren't welcome on this forum. Don't worry guys -- I've got a thick skin and you won't get rid of me that easily, but many of my friends wonder why I read (and contribute helpful answers) to this forum when women clearly aren't welcome.

But, this thread does seem to have enought disrespect to offend just about anyone!

There are a lot of antagonistic posters who seem to want to cause an argument.

Chiang Mai Social Golfers (CMSC) play Lanna every Mon. and Mae Jo every Tues. and Fri. There are usually a few Thai ladies along (at least at Lanna) and they play from the 'forward' tees. We had a very talented Thai lady, who has since turned pro, who played with us from time to time and she played with the men from white tees. Arrive before 8AM. 600B membership fee and 3 rounds required to establish handicap. From then on it's 100B if you want to compete. We play a Stableford system scored round 3 times monthly and one round stroke play. We have an away game once monthly and several team tournaments during the year.
