no the stories were mostly about the women that had broken their hearts and their wallets but one Guy had been dating the richest lady in hua hin , So he says LOL
as for the stories, I assume you met all the ex MI5, SAS and Paras that hang around there..take most of it with a pinch of salt..
They must all be lying as they are all here on Samui in Bangrak.
Just out of curiosity is Bob's bar, Easyriders still going ? Used to be the club house for the Headstone riders ? Had a few good nights down there a while back. I keep meaning to have a ride up and see a few of the old faces if they are still there.

Anybody that can't tell the difference between a bike that has done 100,000 km's or 6000 km's shouldn't be going to buy the thing without a friend who does.
High mileage isn't the problem that it used to be. With the metals, alloys and lubricants these days you can run up really high mileage and as long as you have changed the fluids regularly the thing will be fine.
-
As you are not trying to pass the bikes mileage off as it is I can't see the problem. Simply tell the new buyer that you replaced the broken speedo at 6000 km.
No problems, it certainly wouldn't put me off buying a bike in a similar situation

Lomprayah do a ferry, bus and plane ticket that goes from Surat Thani airport. Takes around 4-5 hours in all. There is also the night train from Surat as well. My preferred option.

The USA and its lap dog allies have been waging war on drugs for the last 50 odd years and have failed miserably. Drugs are readily available everywhere and cheaper than ever. Even when he who mustn't be mentioned was simply going round and shooting dealers it didn't stop them.
When Governments cannot keep drugs out of secure environments like jail then how can they try to keep them off the streets ?
The same will happen here. Lots of small time dealers and suppliers will be rounded up and plastered all over the TV and press but it won't solve the problem. The only way to stop use is by education and honesty about the effects of drugs and not the scare propaganda that they have been using for years

5, if you have to drive the wrong way, in my opinion it is necessary some times, do so at a dead slow speed keeping as far right as possible, keep your eyes constantly on oncoming traffic!!
I'm sorry but try as I have I still cannot come up with a genuine reason for driving on the wrong side apart from being a lazy bast%rd

Paul Hi. Welcome to our little bit of paradise. If you fancy having a few cold ones with an ex Billingham boy drop me a PM. Might even know of a bike as well. Before you so can you just confirm you are not a Mackam ? and are a Geordie Even a monkey hanger would be OK
PS you would have to be firstly from the UK and secondly from the NE of England to have a clue what we are on about
PPS I don't suppose you brought any Mad Dog ?

Why would anybody hand their passport to somebody they don't know just to save a few minutes of time ? Also you know your passport isn't stolen or on any wanted list so why would you hand over 5000 baht to get it back ?
As said a fool and his money are easily and swiftly parted.
Visa Run Crash
in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
Posted
I once made the mistake of going on a visa run with this company. I vowed never again. I am not easily scared but this was an accident waiting to happen. I now drive down myself and stay overnight.
Now either there had insurance to cover the accident or they didn't ? I don't know of any insurance that covers MOST of the passengers ? The way I read it is they have covered the small bills out of their own pocket but either can't or won't cover the most serious guy Ryan.
The article in the local rag was also the most condescending piece of press they have written to date. It may as well have been written by Julie herself. No wonder the person wanted to stay anonymous. The way they call it Julie isn't doing this for money but rather is doing all the Farangs that need to do a visa run a favour.
It also goes on to say that many Farang need to do the run quickly to get back to either their families or business.
If you have a family here you shouldn't need to be doing a visa run and the same goes for having a business. You should have a work permit ?
I still don't buy the truck collision either. If there was a truck involved then Julies insurance would pay put and then they would recoup the money from the truck owners. Trying to say they are not going to chase the truck company to do the injured a favour is to be honest a kick in the teeth to those unfortunate to have been injured.
I also find the fact that Julie has been silent in all this sad.
People use the two Farang run visa run businesses because they expect them to run them differently to the Thai way of doing things. It seems very evident to a lot of us who live here they do not !
What was the outcome of the fund raiser they had for Ryan ? any update ?
Lets hope he recovers fully and that lessons have been learnt from this tragic accident
