    I ran a program in BKK starting around 2009 where I brought over professors from a university in Massachusetts to teach a series of courses leading to a master's degree. I recruited students in BKK, arranged to use the facilities on the campuses of various schools, arranged housing for the professors, etc. Ran successfully for years.

    2022 I had a 61 day overstay. Went to Swampy to fly out. 20K fine, stamp in passport, returned 7 hours later, and got everything sorted for my non-immi O visa.

    Last year, my Filipina GF was questioned about her ticket validity. She was using an OnwardTravel booking. IO wanted to see the receipt for payment for the ticket, which of course would have shown $16 instead of the expected ~6000 THB. A bit of back-and-forth boyfriend bought ticket/blah blah blah, they let her through. Female IO.

    Elonia AND Rama lama ding dong BOTH at DOGE? I see a possible 50% cut right there. They could cut 98% of the staff at the US Embassy in BKK. Wouldn't affect us expats at all. Waiting times when I call SSA in the States 30-60 minutes. Where the fruck is the bloated staff there??
