No problems in Sathorn area.

...and certainly not as exhausting as playing it.

Sensible decision. I thought for a moment the previous Labour Minister was trying to make a comeback. Chalerm's views on this issue are hardly compassionate. Nor are they a secret.

If viewers don't have True Visions HD, try their standard definition World Cup channel 99. They were also experimenting with Channels 4 and 37 in SD. If you can't get 668 and don't have the HD remote, suggest try TrueVisions Ch 99.
Good luck.

It's OK Terry.
Ukraine, Belgium. Ireland, Iraq, Syria and European Royalty aren't competing...

Chances are the WWII bomb is British. The air strikes targeted bridges across the Chao Phraya.
Sorry about that.

Do you know if airport taxis and motorcycles will be available during curfew hours? Taxi drivers are also subject to the curfew but I hope special arrangements have been made to avoid inconvenience to arriving and departing passengers. Technically, drivers need a curfew pass to go anywhere during restricted hours.

I'm still waiting to hear American and European condemnation of the coups in Egypt and Ukraine where fully elected (not caretaker) governments were overthrown. It's been months now. When are those legally-mandated sanctions going to be imposed. Well, Mr Kerry, Mr Hague, Baroness Ashton and all the other hypocrites who are so quick to condemn Thailand's moves to put its house in order after months of violent turmoil? How are you going to rationalise these double standards?

True is still broadcasting BBC World Service radio on Channel 726 if you want to know what's not happening in Ukraine. That broadcast was never interrupted. Don't forget to hit the Radio button on the top l/h side of the TrueVisions remote (or listen on the net).

Both Viagra and Cialis are likely to give you a headache because of the way they work.. It is a known side-effect. Drinking plenty of water to avoid dehydration can help. Definitely avoid alcohol.
Ask yourself if you really need them. If you do, see a urologist to get a prescription. OTC pharmacies are full of fakes.

I think Beb (the OP) needs to read up on the "colonial syndrome" which is alive and well on some TV forums, but by no means on all.
He should choose his forums wisely. It sounds like he spends too much time on General.

The True set top box has a component output but you will have to go into the systems menu and lower the resolution to below 720p to get a picture. You can't get an HD signal from component. It's blanked out to prevent copying of HD material.
Your Sony will use the PAL colour system so no problem with the frame rate. The Panasonic will be NTSC which might not be recognised by the HDCP handshake.
The component output will be PAL.

I recommend Valian-X capsules for sleep disorders. It's valarian root, perfectly legal and available in most pharmacies. Works for me.

I've also seen it for sale in dental clinics. 60 baht a bottle. Clearly labelled Chlorhexidene and recommended as a mouthwash after cleaning/polishing of teeth. Trouble is it numbs the taste buds for a few days after use.

For those seeking a link to Veronica Pedroza's interview with PM Yingluck, here it is:

My favourite is Fenistil gel. It's reliable, soothing and quick-acting. Available at most pharmacies.

You can phone the Power Buy call centre on 02-904-2000 from 8am to 8pm, although it will probably be closed today (Jan 1). A visit might be more productive. Power Buy branches are located in all major Central department stores. CentralWorld, Central Chitlom, Central Bang Na --- they're all over the place. If you don't have one near you suggest try another home appliance store such as Homepro, Big C, The Mall, Emporium or smaller retail outlets if you are in the provinces.
Good luck.

Any crystal ball predictions on when we'll see Win 9?

Another vote for Boomerang...or import from Amazon.

Another vote for Scoozi.
Narai is also worth a try and very popular among Thais.

It is the law and one of many pollution control measures authorised by the Clean Air Act of a decade or more ago. I've seen the sign in several car parks including the seven-storey one at my office. It usually says a 2,000 baht fine because that is the maximum.
In Bangkok I think this is also covered by a municipal ordinance. Might be the same in Hua Hin. Never heard of anyone actually being arrested or fined, but I do know someone who was given a warning by police for leaving his car engine running while the vehicle was not in use. Parking attendants all seem to know about it.
Nice of Villa to offer a discount.

I read it to see the latest pizza promotions. Fortunately they are all still there.

Surin has all the necessary qualities to make an excellent Bangkok governor.
It could hardly be any more difficult than holding Asean together for five years.
I'd like to see his name on the ballot for Feb 17.
The Democrats have been looking for someone new and innovative to field.

I stayed in the old BNH on Convent Road in 1976 for a sinus operation and the food was superb. They even brought around a cheese plate after the last course at dinner. I delayed my departure as long as I could.
I'm guessing it's been downhill since then but will find out next month when I'm due to stay a night.
Hospitals have nutritionists and the OP might have been put on a special low-fat diet. Those are not much fun.
That's just a guess.

I had the same problem in some of the early matches. Switched to Ch 99 and the English-language commentary was loud and clear. Never had a problem with Ch 99. It's not HD but the picture is excellent.
