  1. The constitutional court is simply doing its job too well, and old big baht doesn't like it.

As for his threat, an empty threat IMHO - as the people (or the force he reckons they are) are not quite into the mass rioting at this moment in time, as they know it would be a threat to the leader! And they're more on HER side than his currently, because SHE doles out the restructuring now, and the guys at the top want a piece of the action and keep their own supporters at peace...... so far.

I reckon dementia is setting in, either that or he's a Skype addict....

  2. Generals etc, here top army, pop 60,000,000, UK eqiv ----APPROX 200 Thailand 2,000. FOR WHAT.

secondly,exemp---medical ---sex change, or equiv----ALSO you can PAY not to go in. other reasons explained.

Personally It would make sense to have voluntary draft, surely at a reasonable income a per-cent would volunteer, fulfilling the required places.

As stated a complete overall of the ( call-up ) needs updating, as so many who have reasonable jobs eventually have to go to the LOTTERY style of compulsary gamble----I thought gambling was illegal.

i doubt the happy guy is concerned about the number of generals per total population ratio in thailand compared with the UK.

Why feel some falang always the need to lecture Thais and tell them they need updates and change there and there so that it is like in the UK?

Zhou Zhou, you're continued ignorance about farang attacking THE THAI SYSTEM is becoming irritable!

Do you really believe Thailand doesn't need continued updates and change, in order to leave the league of third world countries?

Whether it be military, sanitary, emotionally, corruptly etc., and the list could go on infinitum, do you REALLY believe no changes are necessary in Thailand?

You're quite happy with you're lot?

Of course changes are necessary. How many times have you, indeed, visited Western countries such as the UK and America?

Have you experienced the safety and cleanliness? No over-head wires that kill people in floods; no shitty smells from drains (as they are closed in pipes) would just be two simple examples of many countless examples.

What's your problem with farang advice, and comments, for 'up-levelling' Thailand's infrastructure and systems?

It seems you take advice in what I would deem a very personal and tangential way of accepting that change is necessary.

    Wouldn't you agree?

the question is if "we" need that in every thread here at the forum.

that guy is happy. he don't have to go to the army.

who cares about the number of general in this moment?

those who are deeply and honestly concerned about Thailands future or just those who will find all the time a reason to start bitching.

Well from what I observe, in many many a post, in many many a thread, is that the only person 'bitching' about farang posts in this farang forum is primarily yourself.

Do you consider the perspective of where you place yourself, and the reactions you elicit?

I have no problem with you, personally, but the continued decadence that you motivate against farang is worrying.

Those of us that live here legally, and with work permits, bringing improvements to a country you alledgedly adore, seem to be the people you directly attempt to minimalise constructive comments against.

    Why would that be?

  4. I am presently living and working in China and run in the business several Chinese made cars and people carriers plus trucks that we have run over the last 3 years,

simple report from direct experience of purchasing Chinese made and designed vehicles Not the copy ones !!! Chinese models or approved joint ventures

Servicing and warrantee spot on ,

Defects very few , niggling issues ,

Build quality okay improving by the month

Breakdowns zero Comfort .. very acceptable

Safety airbags driver and passenger / ABS / EBS

Economy okay could be better Last purchase improved economies starting to kick in .

The revisions and improvements I see over the last few years is amazing .. most reports , including Top Gear are out dated or biased for Humour

Having lived in Korea when they first started car mass product and export ( I had a Hyundai Pony and a Kia in Korea ) , the initial standards and rate of improvement of vehicles in China is at least 3 times the rate I saw in Korea .. and now look how respectable their cars are in the world .. Just give it a few more years and the Made in China negativity will be disapearing Look how Skoda managed the reputation change and China has more might and determination .. and certainly produce better vehicles than Malaysia Proton ( I also ran a Proton 21 year old car purchased to teach my young son old fashioned mechanics re grinding valves etc cost me 200 quid and ran for 2 years sold for 300 quid ..

I now have in Hong Kong elderly Landrover Freelander V6 and BMW 3 AC Schnitzer with Super Charger a Porsche eater !!!!!!.. mentioned to show the range of cars I have used to validate my comments ..

Just give it a few years and you may be considering a Chinese made car ..

I have worked for both companies mentioned, Chery and Great Wall.

Don't be surprised, as the above poster makes, if China does get it spot on!

They have been paying Western engineers 'a fortune' to go in, demonstrate, manage, exemplify, and write Western safety standards for all companies.

My last position was at 'Qoros' - formerly Chery-Quantum.

These cars more than outclass many Western manufacturers in Euro N-Cap 5* (yes, five star crash testing) AND FMVSS (USA -Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) and will sell very well!! Designed by German, English and Swedish engineers, watch out for Qoros.

So, before anybody spouts about lack of safety or bad emissions or unsafe build - read the above, as all Chinese OEMs are doing the same!

  5. PM Yingluck concerned over smoke haze problem in North was too busy planning her next diplomatic trips and shopping tours

This problem existed for probably several months and weeks, and then you suddenly dare to say: "Oh, I'm worried just now".....

    crazy.gifcrazy.gifcrazy.gifsorry.gifviolin.gif

The IN Channel news said there are up to another 30 countries to be visited this year. Head in the sand over problems at home or is it head in the clouds at taxpayers expense ?

She needs to open 30 more off-shore accounts on her way to these places, for reasons none of us could possibly know why....

  6. Why should females get special treatment? If you can´t do the time, don´t do the crime.

Of course that depends upon the crime, does it dot?

I know of a woman in China who was given 7 years hard labour in prison for stealing 5 bananas, to feed her children.

Ok, China's irrelevant, but similar sentences are dished out here, on the quiet, if a person (female) can't afford to pay the graft to get off!

The UN had real purpose to get this controlled treatment of women implemented, and my hat goes of to it!

  8. The problem with squat toilets, as opposed to seated toilets, for me anyway, is that my plonker dangles into the water on a squat toilet. It's cold and diverts my attention away from the enjoyment of the #2.

On a seated toilet I can adjust said plonker to be seated on the seat, before my thighs.

Many different opinions here all seem to point to the benefits of a seated toilet, and mine just goes to show truth in that old theory of 'the angle of the dangle is inversely proportional to the heat of the meat!' ;)

  9. So who filmed this?? one of the women? one of the men? the SAS?

Lol... I was wondering exactly the same thing.

However, it was said that this was to give a warning to Myanamar women, about coming to Thailand to prostitute themselves...

It looks more to me like they are being forced into it, prior to being transported here!!

Maybe this was reverse psychology, just to cover the backside's of the pimps - in case ever caught, they could show this wonderful lesson; but what happened off camera we will never see!!
