  1. Actually socialisation is the greatest misconception whenever homeschooling is mentioned.

My children get 4 hours study a day 1-1 and generally at least 2 hours play/ social activities with other homeschool groups. Far more than they would ever get in a shool setting and way ahead of their school friends

  2. Hello.

    Can anyone pls help me?

Considering returning to Thailand with myself and my 2 children aged 11 and 8 (1 adult and 2 children)

I presently homeschool my children in the uk and will do the same in Thailand so no school fees will be needed in the calculation.

I intend to live outside of BKK and the tourist areas to cut the cost down.

Living sensibly, eating mainly thai food and anyone please give me an approximate monthly cost of living.

    Thank you

  4. Hello.
Can anyone tell me how safe it is and how it is possible to send children aged 13ish to train in Muay Thai?
Mu son is aged 11 and heavily into Muay Thai and has a desire to make this his career path and wants to train in Thailand for a year.
I would of course take him to Thailand and make sure that he got to whichever camp he was to train at but at some time I would have to leave him.
I hope there is a way to do this safely as this is his dream....can you please help??
    Thank you

  5. Thank you for your reply.
I do actually home school already in the uk and everything is working brilliantly...however it is the Thai language skills that I cant cover.
I cant afford the cost of an International school but the benefit of an international school is the English language which I'm already teaching through various student lead topics.
However, living in Thailand Thai needs to be learnt and Im trying to find the best way of delivering this to my children. I firmly believe initially they would learn Thai from the school playground but a Thai state school would soon remove any free thinking from their thought process hence the benefit of home ed.

  6. Hello.
I'm looking to homeschool my children in the provinces for 8 months a year and return to Falang land for a few months to pay for the Thai lifestyle.
I don't want to pay for thai state school as the only reason for considering Thai school would be for my Thai/Falang children to learn Thai.
I believe that the money would be better off spent hiring a Thai Language teacher 3-4 hours a week but Im not sure of the costs involved in doing this. Any thoughts on whether I would be allowed to home school for only 8 months a year and or the cost of hiring a thai teacher for a few hours a week.
Also considering the cost of hiring a thai teacher full time to teach all subjects apart from English which I will cover.
    Thank you

  7. Can anyone help me explain this to my son (he is thai) as I simply don't get it
    The question is:
A rectangle has a squared area of 10cm squared. The dimensions are not given. If you double 2 of the sides what is the area?
I know the answer is 40cm squared but I just don't get the calculation as I thought that if you double the 2 sides of the rectangle then you double the area giving 20cm squared and not 40 cm squared.
    Thank you
