  1. Hello I will be holidaying to Thailand in a few months time but will have mt infant children with me.

It would help keep them occupied if they can watch a cartoon or something and was wondering which airlines have the monitor on the back of the seats.

I flew with Thai air some years ago and they only had 1 tv for everyone to watch but it was years ago, as for jet air I have not flown with them before but they come recommended.

If you could pls advise as I will be purchasing the tickets soon......thanks

  2. Hello I have 3 infant age children and I have recently divorced.

My ex wife has basically 'given' my children to her grandmother but I wish to bring the children to falang land for a far brtter lifesytle and education.

She has denied me all contact with the children. I was wondering if I could apply through the Thai courst to 'force' her to allow me to return to falang land with the children and if so what would be the chances of winning?

Just to add the children have dual passports

    Many thanks....clive

  3. Hi I have just bought a 2nd hand phone from e-bay but couldn't dial out. I then phoned vodaphone and they told me that it has been blocked (via the IMEI nimber) because it was reported as stolen. Apart from being im the process of requesting a refund I was wondering if it is possible to unblock the phone.

    Thanks Clive

  4. An easy answer-Why don't you phone Nationwide head office in Swindon.

As a nationwide account holder I would always favour sterling travellers cheques over Nationwide's exchange rates.

I realise that their rates might have changed but last year I phoned them to check on their rates and they advised me that they didn't charge comission. Very good I thought but later found out that the rate they were offering at the time was B 62 to the UK pound-the correct exchange rate was B 72 to the pound. No commission-my arse!!

Open a thai Bank account and cash in your travellers cheques if you are worried about carrying vast amounts of cash. Most Thai banks will hand you an ATM card there and then so no waiting to get your hands on your money.

    Good luck :o

  5. So who says Mr Ijustwannateach that you can't play classroom games without any learning taking place. That is the goal that you should aspire to?

I'd love to hear what methodology do you use?

By the tone of your posting you don't seem to understand the basic concept of teaching ESL. If you are able to teach your students through games, thus they are learning without realising that there is any actual teaching taking place then you have cracked it as a teacher.

As for your advice regarding turning this this teaching position down I ask you this.

What do you actually know about this particular school or are you talking through ignorance yet again?

Let people apply, give the school the benefit of the doubt until you know otherwise. Personally, with some of the focus on games and activities in the classroom it sounds like a great environment to teach in.

If anyone applies I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  6. I wish to send mutiple packages out of Thailand but have not as yet found any company that offers a cheap enough rate for packages under 1KG.

My profit margin is very small-about 700 Baht for lightweight (under 1 KG) which is where the problem lies. As the weight increases and therefore the amount of items purchased the profit margin isn't quite so tight..

The main problem is that I would require a signature at the destination (worldwide) which bumps the price up drastically.

    Can anyone offer any assistance???????

    Thanks-Clive :o:D
