So after a week the insurance company got back to me... At first they suggested having the same garage fix the problems which they found out was not an option for me. So far it looks like they are prepared to fix it. I'll update as it goes if anyone is interested.
-
When we purchased the insurance I made sure it was first class...but apparently there was an option for dealer repair or 3rd party repair and I chose 3rd party...(which I wasn't informed about)...lesson learned.
Anyway we'll see how the insurance company handles this in the next few days...but if they refuse to repair it properly I need to know what my options are.

That was the plan to sell it but like I said it is in bad shape I can only imagine it would take a hit at the used car scammer i mean dealer.
What I hope is I can have it repaired at least to the point I can sell it at a reasonable price. After 10 months, I have to just shake my head and mutter under my breath T I T

it was a private garage in Rayong.... i will be sure to get the name and post it later. It was a big very professional looking place terrible service though.

So 10 months ago the wife was T boned in an intersection (not deemed her fault).
The car was pretty banged up but the insurance company insisted on reconstructing it.
We just got it back and there are so many things wrong i don't even know where to start.
Everything from electronics to wrong model parts, bad air leaks through the door seals, bad steering etc.
What are my options, what recourse do I have against the body shop / insurance?
I would really appreciate hearing from some of you members who have went through something like this.

Totally agree with HarrySeaman. If going by land get the e visa ...it saved me a lot of time and headache just got back last week....not sure about flying but I would assume the airport is going to be less problems

Does anyone know if and or when the international fireworks competition will be this year?
I have been using googles to scour the internet and haven't been able to find anything definite.

MATRIX Garage; on Sukhumvit Road, across from the Floating Market !
I used to use him until I had my car in for some light body work and it came back with a different set of headlights that were broken. He did offer to find 2 used lights for me for 30000baht so needless to say I haven't been back there ever.

Thanks for the info fellas, I was pretty sure it was a rat snake but just wanted a second opinion. As far as I am concerned all snakes are deadly poisonous !

Does anyone know when this will be available in Thailand?
Has anyone seen it first hand yet and if so what's your opinion?

I did a quick search on line and came up with this.

Is that the same as what you want?
PM me, I am in the states right now.

Hi Luudee,
I bought my clorinator directly from Australia, and even with the import duty included from DHL I only paid slightly more than 1/3 of the price of the same system offered in Pattaya. Of course I would have trouble with warranty issues but for the price I could buy another one and still be money ahead. Sorry but I don't recognise your brand.

I have the Pool Cleaner by POOLVERGNUEGEN and couldn't be more happy with it

Nice.2 Years no Prob ,Dopey Service Management only.
Dopey service management is a requirement for all auto brands in Thailand I think.
As far as Ford service in Pattaya, calling them dopey would be 3 steps up for them. They are the main reason I will never buy a ford in Thailand again.
I do like the looks and feel of the Trailblazer though, just hoping for some more reports (good or bad) before I pull the trigger.

Rdrokit,
I think this is a different suspension that the Colorado, it has coil springs in the rear and the pickup has leaf. I test drove one and it seemed to ride much smoother than my old Everest

Apparently I can't spell opinions...hopefully that will be magically edited

It looks like the new trailblazers have improved.
I am looking for your opinion on it, especially those who have the new style trailblazer.
How is the ride, fuel economy, handling, etc. etc.
Any problems?

Sadly I have been looking for a good push mower myself. They are hard to find in the Pattaya area for anything build well. Even if it has a decent honda motor the deck under it is poor quality junk
-
I am interested in something similar myself but to put outside on the terraceto keep the rain out.
Hopefully someone will have a good suggestion
