If i was to rent a motor bike for the day...how big/small is the island eg. how long would it take if i went to "X" beach (furthest away) to Pan and Davids? It only looks small but its on a map lol. Do i need to look for a beach or accomadation near there place or is the island that small it doesnt matter?

What are the beaches like and what about the water for snorkelling in?(Could make a nice day trip out)

I want somewhere to visit during the christmas festivity/new year with my GF and wanted a few suggestion. I have been to both Ko Chang and Ko Samet and found I liked Ko Chang best and have been there a few times now. This time I wanted somewhere different. After reading pages and pages about Koh Kood Ko Wai and Ko Maak I'm still not that much the wiser. It seems Maak and Kood are the 2 better places.

Does anyone have any info on these places or any other suggestions near Bkk? Accomadation prices(telephone numbers or websites would be fantastic) , everyday prices would be nice.Also are they busy etc and are there bars/beach bars to visit(I never sleep early)and good restaurants to eat at?

What resaurants are there a bit off the beaten track in Bkk? I mean near Bang-na area or at least on this side of the ekamai or on-nut side of things. Indian, Italian or British food being at the top of the list.

Does any one know of somewhere that I can stay whilst my condo gets decorated.I need somewhere for about 3 weeks but I'm guessing that a 1 month stay would work out cheapest. I would like it to be in Bkk near Seacon square or between sukhumvit soi 71 to suk soi 105. I hear that romance do a 1 month deal but cant find their contact details. Can anyone recommend somewhere else? Maybe around the 5-7,000 mark?

I've put down a deposit for a condo and am now experiencing a few problems getting the money from my UK account to the Bangkok bank. It boils down to Natwest saying I need to fly back home to sign the documents needed as they wont do it over the phone,by fax or by mail. Also with nowhere to enter a 10 digit bank number (and no sort code) on the internet banking I think my only option is to pay the money into my mothers account and have her pay it into my Bangkok bank account.

My question is.....Will I have any problems getting the tor tor 3(now FETF??) form from the Bangkok bank if the money is coming from another persons account?....also will there be any probs at the land office if they see anywhere on the form that the money originated from somebody eleses account?

It seems very nice and very reasonable. If there were any places like that near me i'd expect 20-40% discounts due to the location thus making it nearly possible

It's all down to location mate.I know what the prices are like in the center of BKK and realise what 1 mil would get me......but on the outskirts (like I am) there are quite a few...but would like to know of more to choose from. I've seen a real nice one today but that was at 1.5 which is just a little about my limit.

I'm currently a little fed up of renting and have decided that buying would probably be a better idea. I'm looking for a condo around the 1 million price. It's not alot but all I have . I have seen some nice places already but they are usually the 37 sqm size and I would ideally like to get a 60 sqm size with a swimming pool in the condo/complex. I'm in the Bangna area at the moment and would like somewhere near(a radius around) Seacon Square. I have been out on the strret...driving in my car and looking on the web sites....but nothin I've seen seems right for me yet.

Is it possible for you all to post some places that you have seen or are staying at? I have looked as far as Makro on Srinakarin and as far as Prakanong in the other direction and not found much in my price range thats suitable.

Sorry for not getting back to you all earlier....

I got the car registered in my name on the triple entry visa but eye brows were raised at me not having a NON IMM visa or work permit and MAYBE some tea money was paid by the garage I was buying it from(they say they paid some but not sure if they actually did).

I know similar questions have been asked umpteen times on here and I have searched and searched but seem to only get conflicting posts.

I have had 2 Non Imm visas whilst being here in Thailand and whilst I had them I :-

1, Got a mororbike licence

2, Got a car licence

3, Registered a motorbike in my name

I no longer have a Non Imm visa and I no longer want a motorbike but want to buy a car.I want to put down the deposit tomorrow but I'm worried that I'll lose the deposit if I cant get it registered in my name due to not having a work permit or a Non Imm visa.

There are posts on here that say all you need to register a car in your name is a passport,a tourist visa,a proof of address from the embassy(im British) and the cash.......I have all of these things.

They also say that you only need to have a work permit/non Imm if you want to buy it on finance?

I realise I have bought a bike already and should already know all of this but I simply handed her all the documents with mu Non Imm B visa and im not sure if she looked at it or not.

Any advice greatly appreciated

I'm thinking of buying a car(Hyundai accent sprint 1999) as they are extremely cheap here in Bangkok.The only thing that worries me is because there arent many hyundai cars about here, where to get it repaired if I have any problems with it?

Also i've been told that certain cars are based on other cars and use their parts in the building of the car.Is this true for this model does anybody know?

Lastly any comments people have about this car would be appreciated.I thinks it's a modern lookin car and extremely good for the money....yet if anyone knows of any problems with the model please post

As far as I know, the only other airline that flies the Bangkok-Penang route is THAI and they're expensive. You may also want to look at BKK-Kuala Lumpur and then KUL-PEN on AirAsia.

There must be another? Just 1?

Im off to Penang in a week or so and was shocked to find that the flight prices with AirAsia have doubled/tripled from about 6 months ago.Are there any other cheap airlines that fly BKK to Penang that people know of? Ive found out about tigerair but they only fly to Singapore.

Well I've checked here and on Ajarn to find info on this but can't seem to find what I want and I know for sure I've read about it b4.What's the best bank to goto for the best % on about 20,000 pounds?At the moment I'm with Natwest but I'm pretty sure that I can do better.Ive found a couple so far for 5.5-6%.
