I've found it very easy recently with having 24/7 true adsl and using bit torrents to download games but.....they bore me after a while if there is no human element in them...ie I like ONLINE games.Yet it's very difficult to get hold of serial keys.

What online games(or ip to ip(friends comp to my comp)) can you recommend that either

a, let you play online without a serial key(maybe on private servers)

b, has an easy workaround to the serial key problem

c, is a free game to start with and doesn't need any key(better standards than yahoo pool though)

I've managed to play one games of doom3 so far on a cracked server then was never able to find the server again

I'm interested!!!

My classroom has a VCD player and t.v. and I havent yet got around to using them.My school has mentioned to me that using these are MORE than O.K(hint hint) and don't mind paying for some new cds. I currently got my hands on some "magic English" CDs(which I've used before) but think they are very poor indeed. They are Walt Disney CDs and promote them to the hilt eg. What/who's that.....It's Pluto,Donald etc etc and no mention of dog or duck.

My kids are Prathom 1 and 2 LOW LEVEL.

What Cds do you all reccomend to buy and where from(close to or in Seacon would be nice).

Anyone know where I can get hold of an ONLINE serial key? Obviously by not having to buy the original! It's easy to get the offline one but it would be more exciting online.Anyone accomplished this near impossible task?

That Avi-Mpeg splitter was what i was after (bob on).I thought that nero would have provided something similar.I can't be the first to want to burn more than A 600-700+ MB file onto 2 disks??

One thing I've just noticed is that (file is 638MB)in Nero it reports that the total length is 86min.I thought that 700MB=80 min....so how can 638=86min?

Anyway I can't understand why it doesn't just put most of it on the 1st cd then the rest onto a second??

I've downloaded a few movies recently(using torrents , if you've been following the threads)and have a couple of films my mates wanna borrow.I thought this would be straight forward using Nero express.I chose the vcd option and tried to burn it onto a 700MB/80min CDR/RW cd.The said file is 638 MB in size.My disk is meant to be 700 MB but Nero reports it at only being 659MB.Now it shouldn't really matter if it's 700 or 659 as the file is only 638.I click on burn and the movie is encoded which takes well over an hour.When encoding is finished it tells me the inserted media is not large enough and to insert a larger media.I have tried all my cds and the same message is reported.

Even if the disk isn't large enough to store the movie.....why isn't it asking me to insert a second cd for the excess size??

Mines only a little faster and it should be around 5 times faster. I think I'll be getting the 1 meg not the 512 as sometimes(only sometimes )I can exceed this speed

I've just done a few speed tests on true today just out of curiosity and whether or not its because its saturday I don't know, but my conection speed is at least 50% faster.Maybe they are doing upgrades?

As regards to whether or not to downspeed, can someone else goto the same speed test and report back their speeds?I'm using :-

and chosing the larger 470k file. The result is in cps(what ever that stands for?)and my average is about 43000cps. As low as 29000 and as high as 59000.I did the test quite a few times just now.Would be interested to know if the 1Mbps conection that Crushdepth has(with TRUE) gets the same speeds....and anyone else.

Quick TRUE update.

I was on the phone to them the other day and as I could't connect to the net.Whilst on the phone I asked if it would be possible to downgrade the package to a slower connection due to only gettong 5-10%of advertised speed on international sites.The lady said of course I can.I then asked if I would get charged for the "free" modem if I did so.She checked with her manager and said as long as I paid my first bill I could downgrade the following month.She's faxed me the form to fill out and will then downgrade me(a great way of getting the modem for "free"if you want to).

Quick question.

As my connection is alot slower than advertised I decided to downgrade to the 512/256 package from the 2.5Mbit package.Will I get the same speed as I do now on international sites or will it be slower?Anyone done the downgrade already?

I have the 2.5Mbps/512 and have the same problems.Ive had the guys around to check my line and been in contact with a falang manager there.They say that they are only guarenteeing(i think this is the right %)80% of speeds in THAILAND and no guarentee international!!

I too am thinking of changing to the 1Mbps as I can't see it making any difference.I can;t think of ANY sites that I visit that are based in Thailand!! What a poooooor service! I think I must stay on this package though for the full 6 months to get the modem for free.

Thanks for the reply but I just need the file really.I think its ghostexp.exe or maybe its ghost.exe? I think its the first one. Anyway when you run this program it asks you to insert the first and then the last disk and it then tells you whats on all your disks.Then it allows you to drag the files onto your computer by asking you to insert the correct disk with the files on.

Anybody can post it or e-mail it to me?

I have some files I want on some old norton ghost backup cd's.Now I'm strugling to access them.Last time I used(not sure of the name)a very small program like ghost explorer which allows me to pull off the exact file that I want and copy it to my computer.Ive googled and gone to the Norton website(which is where I got it last time for free)but can't seem to get it.

Can someone post a link pls?....I seem to remember it being less than a meg or there abouts!

Hi all. I have a non-immigrant visa 'o' . I got this whilst in Australia as I could provide photocopies of my Thai girlfriends documents(I AM NOT MARRIED). The visa lasts fot 12 months and has 6 months left and I still must leave the country every 3 months. Before my visa runs out is there anything important that I should do with it(I have no work permit) that I can't do without it eg. do I need it to buy a motorbike , can it be used to help me get a work permit etc.

Also is it possible for me to renew the visa (legal or illegal) and has anybody done this? I was told to goto koh san and get a copy marriage certificate made and go for renewal(as they will expect that I am married as I already have an 'o' visa), what advice can you offer me on this and why was I given an 'o' visa in the first place?
