Highest point? It's the Royal Paradise Hotel, isn't it?

I always thought an American breakfast was a bowl of Cap'n Crunch. Anyway, it was when I was growing up. (Would still be if I could find the stuff in Japan/Thailand.) Those American and English breakfasts makes me feel ill. Who wants all that greasy crap first thing in the morning? (Or anytime, really.) Sheesh...

Foolish me. Here I am paying good money for the LB's to touch my junk. Anyway, it's a shame. R.I.P.

I love Bangkok with all my heart. But, really, it's a crap-hole.

Thirty hotels is a nice start. Though, sad to say, I doubt they'll get many more to join the ban. There's money to be made in serving that vile dish. And that, as we all know, is the name of the game.

The only Full Moon Party I attended was rather disgusting...and this was some 20 years ago.

Bummer. If it was indeed murder, I hope the responsible party/parties will be brought to justice. One can hope...

You led with your self-righteous chin and got popped - live with it!
LOL...my chin is just fine, thank you. Though, it appears I put a few noses out of joint.

Please forgive me if I don't shed any tears over the closing of a drinking establishment.
Are you that much of a prude?
I'm no prude, but there are worse things one could be called. Do you even know what the word means? Propriety and modesty are rather admirable traits.

Is it wrong of me to laugh at...and...actually enjoy farang on farang violence in Thailand?
Actually... yes. Especially when someone has lost their life. Would you like people to laugh if it was your son or brother? But then you are probably the kind of lower class Farang that has a serious infirmity in regards to cognitive reasoning.
Hmm...depends on which brother.

They sometimes look great in photos, but something usually gives then away in real life. The most attractive ladyboy that I have ever seen headlined at the Blue Moon in Chiang Mai and then worked at John's Place for a while. He/she talked exactly like a man and made no attempt to do otherwise.
There are some things you can't cover up with lipstick and powder...

I was certain the dropping of a hundred million origami peace birds would have ended all this.

You'll never get rid of them. Any steps you take to do so are futile, cruel, and idiotic. I suggest you man up and clean up (the poop). Live and let live, baby.

Good place....but only if you don't play golf (or don't mind paying crazy European green fees).....and if you like your women ugly and in short supply.....and no nightlife to speak of.....I go to HH once or twice a year and always can't wait to get back to good old Patts. There is only one thing better at HH - kitesurfing, if that's your thing. Awesome!
I (somewhat) respectfully disagree. For clean living folk who don't play golf and don't judge a location based on its attributes as a sex tourism mecca, it's a dandy town. (And the golfing there might be great. I don't know. I think it's an idiotic game.)

Cut out the "decent supermarkets" and you won't need the gym.
Kidding aside, Hua Hin's a fantastic place. Go there quickly, though. Heaven knows how long it will remain so. Every time I go back, it's a bit more touristy (in a bad way) and sleazier.
Bangkok For Your Average Tourist Must Be Hell.

I'm guessing the average Bangkok visitor goes there to "party", get laid, and/or go shopping. No place better than Bangkok for all that. (And if they have the desire, they can see some templezzz...)
