I think that this is the first thread that I have ever read here where all the posts are positive and full of good things. I add my congratulations. I hope that it gives heart to those afflicted with the curse of alcoholism.

Two Furbies.

Over the years, I've "helped" hundreds of Thai families.

I can't help but laugh at the concept of having enough money to move to Thailand. Used the be, that financial position was called don't have a pot to piss in.

Interesting thread. It reminded me of why I didn't marry a Thai. (The thousand other reasons aside.)

Each to their own I suppose. I am never going to get married either way but in my life I have seen the guys I work with offshore get screwed over way harder by bitter western women that the Thai ladys ever get. Talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars on top of high end homes. I would never be one to say Thai women are bad, but I would say nothing is more evil than a woman scorned.

That's most unfortunate. I say it's their own fault for choosing poorly. (And not that it matters, but I am not/have never been married to a "western woman".)

The considerate thing would have been for him to murder the foreign boyfriend by whom he had been assaulted. No need to involve innocent bystanders.

An undeniable example of the primitive nature of this country and these people. They're so far behind the civil societies of this world it's laughable, yet so many of us flock here and then even settle here!! For what? Quality of life? Nope, cheap "Tail." No matter how you explain it, that's what it comes down to, sadly. Living here for almost 10 years has exhausted my patience and my skewed my once positive perspective beyond belief. Story after story.

The Village People!? What are you on about? And, no, they were not "all gay". The singer, for one, was straight (like myself). Oh, and the song is called Macho Man. (As it happens, I own the bass guitar used on their biggest hits. Funny, eh?)
