Top end of 2nd Road on the left hand side heading to the Dolphin roundabout has 4 places with live bands. two that stand out are the Tattoo rock bar and the new Cosy Bar both near each other and both close to BigC.

Tattoo bar will play Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, AC/DC and a lot more besides including slower music. They start about 10 p.m. and are often on until 2 or 3 a.m. 75 Baht a beer for Leo / Chang.

Poker Bar near soi 8 Beach Road. Not as good as it used to be.

We Are The World Bar Beach road also near soi 8. good but not brilliant. They have a break abt 9 - 9-30 as I recall.

Behind the World bar is Cloud 9. They start abt 11 p.m. Though their music is not brilliant.

Not pop or Jazz so maybe not to your taste.

Out of those listed I think Tattoo and World bar are the better ones.

I see nothing at all wrong with giving a woman a small amount of money every month.

The last one got 6K per month. The one before that got 7.5K per month. BOTH were a lot cheaper than my ex wife back in the UK. !!!! None of my women here have been bar girls.

For that money I got companionship, sex almost every day with a woman 20+ years younger than me and someone to take care of the Thai things I needed a translator for. Being together month on month means sex without a condom too. Gives you someone to snuggle up to. Better than eating on your own too. Often they will clean and cook, do laundry and other things like cutting your nails, taking care of you when you are sick

So where is the problem with giving the woman some cash every month???

Whether you pay a woman money or not you are still liable to have emotional problems, problems over the television, you going out to the pub or whatever. If you are happy enough to give her an allowance and an allowance that is not ripping you off, do it. Sod what other people think.

Buy some 2nd hand shoes [new ones will be a give away]. maybe 2 pairs. Ladies ones. Leave them outside your door. Cheap way to discourage her. Size 8's might make her think you have a BIG lady.

A cheap camera outside the door linked up to your computer to record her behaviour when she comes calling. Then you can show it to the relevant people in the apartment building and have it as proof of her behaviour.

Why pay? From some paid sites you do get the movies with all the subtitles and other DVD info. Often of good quality too. On the other hand I download torrents and often get 400+ download speeds on my cheap TOT internet connection that I pay 650 Baht a month for. Rarely have I had bad quality from my torrent sites. I watch a movie and discard it. Why watch the same movie 2 or 3 times?

Anyway, I am happy with my download speeds from my torrents and would not bother to pay someone or some site for the same privilege.

Considering you have the internet and True seem to have so many repeats on why do you not download the program from the internet? Having downloaded it you can watch it on the computer, on tv via a dvd or even better on tv using a USB memory stick. A dvd player that takes a USB stick can cost as little as 500 Baht.
