  1. Hasn't USA and others been handing out this "RELIEF" money for the last 70 odd yrs?....What a joke!

About time they started to look after themselves a bit....instead of relying on handouts for this long.

When your on a good thing.....That quote definitely belongs to bludgers like this...

America has been suckered enough, by too many incidents like this, and by countries that burn the US flag frequently.

I agree with the US, enough is enough.....and I'm not even an American....lol

While you are at it....stop funding the UN as well.

It can be done this way but a mortgage wont be registered at the land office.

True, but if the chanote is not signed over until ALL is paid in full....You are safe. Never sign anything here you arent completely aware of on that paper. Down the road it could end up having a completely different interperation than previously understood....and believe me, it happens....

No money to pay up front....no deal !!!!

I did try the yellow electric conduit that I have 15mm stuff but not to consider it as a main structure as quite rightly its simply not robust enough and it will suffer solar degradation within a year.

The conduit I was looking at using it as a pipe bender actually, thread some rebar up it and then bend it round to two locator points.

But.....although I suspect that would work, it creates another problem, that of how to get the rebar back out without cutting the conduit in half?

I take both your's and Arjens points, and probably here wouldnt work for long like most things....

Have you a tree with a forked section, Place the rebar in the fork and bend it to circle you can draw on the Garage floor to the size you want....

Good luck and let us all know how you fixed the problem....

  4. Have you thought about using PVC Pipe?...instead of Rebar. It doesnt rust like Rebar from continuous watering of the plants you are going to grow over them...It's a hell of a lot easier to make and you would build something like your photo in a day at the most. Use 2x1x6mtrs battens  for the spacers for the hoops....You need nothing to bend say 1" PVC pipe to that size....Just drive pegs in the ground where you want either side the footpath and bend it over from one peg to the other...

White Elec conduit looks good used like this....easy to erect easy to pull down...and will hold the same weight as your rebar....and you wont have to paint it....

  5. Hi Bob....There's a wet spot under that grass. Dig a hole where it is located, and removed the dirt down to about 6 inches. Then using different dirt fill the hole again. When you are down 6 inches or so have a look how damp the dirt is...

Ir's a type of Swamp Grass...Pain to get rid of too....Dont water in the new dirt, leave it dry...

This should solve the problem....Otherwise pour Vinegar on it straight from the bottle....Dont water, or do when it's looking like rain....a good hot sunny day is the best...after a couple of days it will be dead, but it will take a while for the grass to grow back on the patch you do....

  6. Dont waste money on Lawyers....We have just been through the same situation as you, and as the lands Dept Head said, if you take it to Court you will lose, as the courts always follow what the Lands Dept states....

YOU CANNOT WIN !!!...accept it and build a cheap fence, in case they move the boundaries again at a later date...which is more than likely. We have documents dating back years and years but they took what they wanted....A chanote is now not worth the paper it's written on....

Now i hope, I can be left alone to live in peace. I didnt settle here to be involved with this crap.

Hell...I just want to play in the shed with the mowers and stuff.

Boundary disputes happen worldwide, not just a Thai issue.

My Mother's neighbour harassed her for years and the issue was not resolved until she passed away.

After I moved in we had a meeting, agreed the boundary at the rear which was to my benefit and at the front I gave way on a new fenceline to their benefit, about 12".

Mum spent thousands on surveyors, solicitors, not to mention the stress to her. We pleaded with her to compromise to no avail, mind the neighbour was a tosser and they'd never got on.

    What is the disputed area?

In and out about a mtr for 100mtrs....It's not my land, it's the wifes. Apparantly this feud  has been going on for the last 20yrs or so....i came on the scene about 8yrs ago....believed what i was told, and it went from there....

My amazing surprise was how accurate a Thai fence Builder was over a hundred mtrs...lol....within 1 mm at every point checked....

  9. I have a fence thats the subject of a dispute, so out come the Surveyor with his Theodolite and Plastic measuring tape to put it right...

He uses the theodolite on the land where the dispute arose from, but wouldn't use it from our Chanote marks or recently placed chanote marks on other properties adjoining, which we requested....he would only refer to his computer, and the other party's land pegs in the dispute.

Now, myself and another measured all the area more than once and it matched the Chanote papers fairly closely...a couple of days before.

But when it was done by him....I couldnt believe how exact Thai Builders are with building a fence....would you believe, his measurements (which are different to our chanote) proved the the fence over a large distance was exact....not even 5 mm wrong. I wish i could find that builder again....he is more competent than any other builder, anywhere in the world....and he can build them for my wife, all the buildings and stuff that have to be moved, back onto the wifes land....then a new fence, as i know it will be done exactly within 1mm.

    Imagine ...

For those that have left...Smart move

For those about to pack and go....Smart Move

For those that stay....Good Luck !!!!
