Koh Phangan is full of 'alternative' lifestyle foreigners who believe their lifestyle means Covid is a non-issue for them. Perhaps they are right, but their non-issue is an issue for for everyone else. There are laws/rules, and they have to follow them just as your average Thai or I do. Their self-centered detachment with a large dash of moral superiority is troubling, and potentially dangerous.

And it's fair enough too Anyone who travels here will face 2 week quarantine, closed restaurants, bars, relations and entertainment venues. Tourist operations all shut. Unless you want to come and sit in a Sandbox Hotel for 2 weeks. There is basically zero reason to come to Thailand right now, and a whole bunch of Covid Delta variant reasons not to.
