Yellow, and it means 'speed up'.
Green for go,
Red - 5 seconds before you have to stop.

Is it possible that the Chinese have the expertise and experience (Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macau) to carry out this capital project at a price acceptable to the Thai lawmakers? I wonder..... Not too far from the Chinese province of Sihanoukville. Maybe they can link Koh Kut as well..... The potential is huge.....
Yes, the Chinese could do it. If Thailand doesn't have enough money, they can work out a good deal - pay them back later. No problem.

Good luck to her - trying something different to engage her class. I shudder to think what online learning looks like at most schools. Teachers are increasingly expected to become 'TVesque' screen personalities in these times.

OK, so one-third of the country are clueless? Seems low?
It was only a survey that was responded to by 1744 people. Most couldn't understand the questions.

Good luck to them both. I just hope he keeps a number for a tattoo-remover up the other sleeve. Otherwise it's long sleeves forever.

Foreign teachers are not included in the governments 'planning preparations' !?

Most international schools in Chiang Mai opened on the 1st June. No vacs for teachers or staff.

I assume the son has also been grounded by Mum.

Truth is, I love Samui, I spent a long time there when I first arrived in Thailand 18 years ago. Living in Chiang Mai it just seems difficult to get to cheaply with the family (no thanks to BBK air) or quickly (I did the drive once - oh God what a haul). I have a big school holiday approaching and Samui sadly isn't a viable option - especially with all this nonsense. A reasonable priced direct flight and I think half of Chiang Mai would come tomorrow - after their second jab of course.

I stopped reading after that - Samui now off my holiday list, probably forever.

They had paid 3,200 to 3,500 Ringgit (a little over 20,000 baht) to an agent for a journey that included a ride in a long tail boat in Songkhla
Looks like tourism is recovering.

I guess the hotel manager just arrived back from vacation and said '<deleted>'! I just hope they managed to grab the soap and shampoo, and of course a quick raid on the mini-bar before their relocation.

It's not acceptable she has flouted the rules. Let's face it, she is in the spotlight because that's her job. There are thousands more lesser knowns that have probably been equally complacent. Let's just hope....

Sadly this kind of tragic event happens in most countries.

I hope teachers didn't write this English version - got my red pen out already. Good luck kids - this is sure to keep your education up to standard. Just need the internet now.

Don’t let facts get in the way of someones paranoid delusions and need to complain........ ????
Op: Have you also complained about the elevated risks you face when travelling to your medical check up? - Thailands road fatalities are high, you shouldn’t be taking any unnecessary travel risks !!!!.... ????
I'm sure my blood pressure was higher after that U-turn !

Go to Bumrungrad.
It will be empty.
No tests. Just see the doc, get the certificate (less than 700b)
It is accepted by MoL.
Yeah, done. 350 at Klaimor.

Find a different country to teach in or teach in the private sector.
Public schools are low pay and no respect. If you're willing to take a ration of **** from a school, at least get paid well. Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan... It's a joke here. Speaking as a guy with three years of teaching under my belt. Never again in Thailand.Actually, I am teaching in the private sector and am paid well enough to be sustainable - not getting richer mind you! I have worked in the public sector too and agree the pay was terrible and certainly not something any experienced and qualified teacher should bother with unless they aren't in it for the money but more the pleasure of experiencing Thailand.
Anyway, the post really wasn't about salaries.

Hospitals are not full of coughing people in their waiting rooms. Least of all in the sections that do physical check ups.
if anything they are emptier than usual.
And no need to go to a hospital for a work permit physical, clinics can do them. Where in Thailand are you?
Chiang Mai - I guess my coughing people reference was more a precautionary concern to my point of having to go to one - I hope you are right. I feel I am wasting the time of our blessed frontline with nonsense. I am bound to the hospital as our school has a business account with them.
-
I may have developed a serious disease (like elehpantitis) since my visit last year but I'm pretty sure I'm good. Work permit time and more ridiculous procedures - am I being forced to jump through silly hoops (at expense) again in a time that only one disease seems pertinent. Am I being thrown into a hornets' nest by sitting in a waiting room of coughers. Yikes.
