  1. It is funny if one were to go back into some of the past posts of some of the oldies over here bragging about fooling the gov with keeping a friend's house in the uk as a way of making out they still live there that house to get over the pension cpi or if they ever had to go back for medical matters, they would be all right Chappies wink wink. if one were to delve deep into past posts a lot with be revealed.
  2. Every time I go to have my bloods taken the so-called nurse take my bp b4 I can sit down eg walking from the car to the nurse station. Sometimes I have to remind her to lift up my sleeve b4 she starts to take the reading this is in a private hospital and bugger me they charge me 260 Bhat for the privilege. My reading is around 145 over 65 at the hospital. When I take it at home b4 I leave to go for the blood test it is around 115 over 62 I am 77 years young, and my partner is a qualified nurse. I take bp meds Normetec (Pfizer) 10 mg/40mg one pill which I buy from the local chemist not the hospital.
  3. you can now have a nice day but my point is still valid
  4. As I said it looks like away for them to increase the amount one needs to live here for your retirement visa after they tax the hell out of you.
  5. you go and tell all the people to change then from 65k
  6. Absolute rubbish. If you are referring to the 800k in the bank for extension renewal, that has nothing to do with the allowances and the OPs pension income. I used the 800k as an example so what happens with the 65k per month coming in then that will have to be increase and taxed hence why they will increase the amount u need to stay here
  7. it has if you are a new retiree and have to bring money in to get your visa
  8. So I expect the Thailand gov will increase the amount you will need from 800k per year upwards to take in to case their TAX grab
  9. Then your allowances would be. Over 65> 190k Personal Allowance 60k First 150k tax free allowance. Up to 100k allowance offset against pension income Total allowance: 500k So at £8000 per annum @ 44 baht to the £ = 352k So, you are still under your total all Yet the pension allowance is 800k per year which currently the Thai government thinks is what you need to live here so tax will have to be paid on that 800 - 500 balance 300K TAXABLE
  10. With all his billions you think that would be enough... 4 him never Enough I think the reason he pissed on the 10k wallet is because he was not involved and was too late to get his nose in the Troff. So expect another big hand out to the people of some sort in the future that he will have his hands all over it for another big pay out for him and the family
  11. Be poor be Happy and Eat Bugs that is the future for most if they get their way.
  12. No way will this happen the people will not let it
  13. Went to the Hilton in Phattya yesterday for my 77 th birthday for lunch for 4 my shout. The place was 20% full which made it a pleasant lunch hour for us not good for the hotel. Bill came to 3200 Bhat = 3 bottles of water and a dry martin for me. They gave me a nice small birthday cake free which we all eat while seated. Maybe the price puts most off and as I looked out of the window to the distance only see 4 sea parachutes while in the old days they would have been even in low season 25 flying
  14. Does that mean my HP Sauce? will go up in price 😞
  15. Glad to get the conversation going I am a New Zealander, so it does not bother me what they do with the U.K. government pensions.

  17. I hear that they are now x referencing your so-called U.K. living addressers with passport control so that they can see when you leave the country and how long you are out to see if you are claiming the cpi increasers on your government super. Big brother is now watching you and if you are fiddling the system be warned. Penalties spoken about are stopping pensions until cpi arrears are fully paid back over all the years claimed.\ This from today the Fabulous Phattaya Media Group
