Standard reply, but you still need to go within
the reporting window.
Think you may have applied a tad too early

"Nobody thought to mention when they were
checking and taking my money"
Love the way these folk swing it to make out
it was entirely the fault of the IO.

Truly hope all goes well for you, but am paranoid
about these things and even when here never
leave it to the last week to go for my extension.
You never know what they a will come up with.
This year had a major run-in because name in
bank book did not match passport, middle name
was missing. This after a dozen extensions
at same office, with same mis-match.

There is an option for 60 days (I am using that this time), though that is probably not necessary as you will be back before you need to put the application in.
Of course he will, what can possibly wrong.

Have just noticed Monday June 3 is a national
holiday....your options are narrowing,

@kimamey That is plenty of time, as long as you get all of your paperwork ready to go on your return.
The application must be in before the extension finishes. You will get an under consideration stamp when you make your application, the consideration stamp is equivalent to an extension of your permission to stay. You can even go into immigration a couple of days after the report back date a there will be no problem. So please reassure SWMBO that there is no problem, apart from the English weather of course.
"Assuming he is not held up in the UK", being the critical phrase.

Think his wife may be more concerned about him getting
back in time, returning on May 27 he will only have a short
window to get to immigration before June 6, assuming
he is not held up in the UK.
Would personally not risk it.

many thanks for all the answers folks
Curious to know how you have a UK bank account,
which normally requires UK residency yet your bank
sends statements to a Thai address.

thanks, do you know if VFL have this form at their office?
Yes

You need to fill out a separate payment form with your
card details and payment will be deducted only when
application reaches UK, for which reason payment
using Thai cards seem to have a habit of being
rejected....by the Thai banks.

Interesting, that a certain ex-con has just been visiting
his home town, what possible influence could he have.

So, you did not have time to check, as the snake was hunting you and your wife, pushing you into a corner, where you had no way out than to kill it? Is that right?
The only thing you do in you silly thread, is to over and over again justify that killing snakes and geckos are ok. Just get it! It´s not OK!Leave it now, think this thread has been done to death....rather like the snake(ha ha).

No worries, actually thought it was quite a rstrained response,

Have a good day.
Guys...There are so many "snakey" comments in Asean Now, and that was very heartening from you both. Made my day thankyou. Thankyou.🙏
Mind your own business...ha ha

Pity you were not on hand to educate me
Not murder then, more a case of mistaken identity.

Actually cobras (which yours wasn't) are one of most shy snakes here.
It is usually much faster and easier to just use a broom to sweep them outside. They don't really want to be there either.
But if it makes you feel like a man......
Blah, blah.....should have guessed another stupid, ignorant American.

Looks like you fail to understand that this snake was not venomous. There was no mortal combat.
Was not to know that at the time.

I retract this comment. I don't know you so I should not have said this. However, please treat harmless creatures with respect. They can be useful to have around the place.

My cat does that, should I kill it too? What possible harm could a snake do to your engine? like my cat it soon runs out when I start the car.
You not seen on TV items where mechanics are trying to
extract a reluctant snake from a car engine

Seems you’re getting a bit of criticism, which seems very unjustified.
Maybe a lot of key board warriors here, who in reality would poo their pants, in the same situation.
Actually quite enjoying it, but surprised at the snowflake reaction of some.

Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Give it a go at re-applying.
Now, as to asking immigration to explain
their motives.,..
