If you are travelling up the Mittraphap or highway to hell
it is hardly an epic journey. Better you time your trip so
that when you turn off for Khao Yai at Pak Chong you will
have a wide range of eateries such as Chocolate Factory,
KP Steak and Studer.....mind you all at Khao Yai prices

What bugs me is when they are too
lazy to change the menu, but just
put stickers over the old prices.

You get to keep your passport intact for purposes
of ID and domestic travel in Thailand, but as you say
invalid for international travel. It will then be clipped
when you pick up your new passport.
Not sure of current charges, but you will fill out
a separate form with your credit card details,
to allow them to deduct what they like.

I also live in Udon Thani and used Key Visa's facilities about this time last year.
My Passport took an age to appear - something like 18 weeks - but the blame for that is fully on the UK Passport Office, not Key Visa.
Darren McGarry was very helpful in keeping me informed as far as was possible with the quite atrocious service that UK passport holders are supplied with.
For example - VFS Global in Bangkok supply a reference number which is of zero use in actually trying to track where your passport is in the system. Her Majesty's (in those days) Government took 4 weeks to extract the money from my bank account, but a further 10 weeks to tell me that my photographs were not acceptable. (rant over).
Unfortunately Darren passed away late last year.
I certainly would have had no issue with highly recommending Key Visa if he was still alive.
HMPO will make payment deduction immediately on receipt
of application in the UK, which suggests delay in submitting
to VFS at this end. Out of interest, who told you your photos
we're not acceptable HMPO, VFS or Key Visa.

The only guy that knew more about
Thai immigration regulations than

Out of interest, anyone picked up a new Brit passport
at VFS in Bangkok lately and been told they no longer
need an embassy transfer letter.

Monday 17th is not an official public holiday.
Think you will find Monday is a late substitute
holiday to cover for Saturday.

Indeed, which expires when his next extension is due, when
the 90-day clock will be rest as per my post.

Your old passport gets cancelled once your application is received,
allowed to retain in Thailand for the purposes of ID, but invalid for
international travel.

Wonder if VFS will continue to accept renewal
applications if this kicks in.

Coming up to 65,000km, tread still looks OK, but
is it time to renew due to general degradation,
after five years.

Note that online booking available at
Korat, but do you still have to run the
gauntlet of the doc checkers and thus
allow extra time prior to your slot.

I don't see the quote option so I reply normally. Use the branch at The Mall, entrance at ground level, in front of KFC.
Thanks.....looking to make an early start and mall branches usually
only open after 10am.
Very fast and easy retirement ext at Korat today.

Had a similar request to update my address at Korat,
simply because slip in my passport was an old version.
Also at Korat the IO dealing with the extension will
automatically reboot your 99 day report and issue
any re-entry permit....all at the same desk.
