  1. Very sad indeed! but why would you let a 5 year old go outside and play alone in the first place?

When I was five years old, some 50+ years ago, I used to play outside alone all the time. But, I also rode my bike without a helmet, used to eat hamburgers cooked "rare", and would lick raw cake mix from mixer beaters. Didn't realize what a reckless mother I had. rolleyes.gif

My mother was far worse than yours ,i had an air pistol ,a go cart with no brakes ,we lived at the seaside and we used to walk miles across the sand dunes and sometimes i did not get in untill eight at night ,i wont even start on how we were allowed to play "conkers" without eye protection. oh and fish and chips wrapped in newspaper ,its a wonder i am still alive.

RIP to the child and condolences to her parents.

  2. I just downloaded this film and watched it with the wife(she translated the thai ,which the film does not do ) i felt sorry for this guy at the end ,but two things came across ,he was a loser in the begining ,saying that after being divorced at 32 he could not get a woman except one with two or three kids ,rubbish i was still dating 20 plus girls at that age and i was divorced with a child ,then at 40 he was over the hill and to old for British women absolute drivel ,then i got the impression that he was a big drinker (you hardly ever see him without a bottle of chang) and it was obvious that his wife really did not like him and from what she said in Thai was that well off people thought they could could buy you. ,she was also willing to let him stay at the house to live if he did not bother her. so all in all a born loser ,but i still felt some sympathy for him.

  3. I have used the place on sukumvit, and found them not only cheap but also their mechanic was also very good ,all far cheaper than the main dealer

    Hello,

Do you know a place where they sell parts and also repair ?

It is so boring to bring the car to a garage early morning to pick it up in evening (even Bquick for some repair) that I would like to find one of these spare parts seller that can also repair when I visit them.

Does the Big one on highway also repairs ?

    Thanks.

No i had to leave it there ,we do not live far away so walked home. i believe they cannot do all repairs either.

  4. Rolls Royce (the aero and marine division) was privatised in 1987. If BT were still government owned and had a telecoms monopoly you'd be waiting three months for a line to be installed and you'd have a choice of 2 or 3 phones. You'd also be paying £2 or £3 a minute for calls to Thailand. I don't know if you ever flew with BA while they were still government owned. They weren't much fun.

The privatised UK utility services - gas and electricity - charge over £1000 for an average household now.

They also dodge tax eg Npower has paid no tax in 3 years.

We also have Maggie to thank for that...

On the other hand ,we could be sitting in the dark for hours on end with no heat ,while the workers were on strike yet again.

  5. For those that have neither the time or inclination to watch the marvellous George Galloway speech in parliament - here are his key points.

In tetchy exchanges, Mr Galloway complained that tributes to Lady Thatcher had "gone on too long" and argued that the Commons had sat during the Second World War.

"I am sorry but this is not a national funeral. You can only have a national funeral where there is a national consensus about the person being buried," the Bradford West MP said.

"That consensus does not exist in relation to Margaret Thatcher and no matter how oft people from the frontbenches fawn upon her, pour honeyed-words upon her, even outside of this House of course, tell lies about her and her record, that won't change."

He said the events marking Lady Thatcher's death amounted to "canonisation" and were "too expensive, too elaborate, too regal".

"Don't get me wrong, I will not be celebrating at the funeral tomorrow. I believe it is wrong to celebrate at someone's funeral. But I will not agree to suspend our democracy so that some of the friends of the deceased have to make a choice between attending prime minister's question time or going to the funeral," he said.

You just have to see how many people lined the streets to honour her ,wonder how many will be at the "marvelous " gallaway's funeral ,not a lot.

  6. Author is totally clueless and the article is filled with idiocy and ignorance, as per the course for this type of article.

I think the author knows a lot more than you suggest. Of course the guys with their 20 year younger, uneducated gf will scream and shout at the untruth. The truth hurts.

Old guys do come here and take advantage of young, uneducated girls with no other option if they want a comfortable life.

My wife comes from a poor background and obviously wouldn't have married me if she came from a rich family. She is only 3 years younger. I am old enough and wise enough to accept the truth.

Why do you say that ?

Perhaps he is not very good looking and a bit low class ,covered in tatts and wears shots ,vest and wears flip flops with black socks. not many hi so lady's go for that sort of guybiggrin.png

  7. My wife and i have lived in the UK as as our son ,both speak perfect english,i have only once had any remark made about her being married to me and that was made by a IBangladeshi/pakistani or the like ,my familly and friends treated her with respect ,but then i really do not have a problem here in Thailand ,the reason may be that she dresses well ,and is well spoken ,on the other hand if you are with a younger woman with lots of tattoos and hardly any clothes on then no matter what her age she may be taken for a bar worker with her sugar daddy, the only time any remark has been made about me was when i was out with our son you can guess what that was ,or you may have read it on here some months ago smile.png

  9. The ones who are glad she is dead are the stupid young morons (like the one who hated her because she invaded Iraq) and just want to protest ,any excuse will do ,and the "workers" who lost their jobs because they were always out on strike demanding more money for less work ,well she beat you and you lost ,get over it losers.

  10. So Muslims think chuldren painting crosses on a wall warrants getting out the guns and shooting some people.

This sort of behavior will continue unabated due to the west losing it's moral compass and our press not on the whole reporting the religious motivation behind such violence. You can be confident the police who usually stand back whilst rioters attack Christians would be much more willing to intervene if aid to Egypt was stopped until they get their house in order.

P.S Egypt is heading for civil war imho and the truly asinine decision to throw Mubarak under a bus is coming home to roost.

And i am flying back to the uk on egyptair ,so i hope they don't have a civil war yet!! but yes i can see it coming ,and it was such a great place to visit ,all gone now i fear.

  11. the Bank of Thailand is as usually wrong with its published estimates. several dozen resident Thaivisa experts cum gurus who agree unanimously that Thailand's economy is doomed and that the Baht will fall into an abyss are overwhelming evidence for my claim.

    whistling.gif

And we all know that you Naam are the only expert on thai visa ,dont we boys and girls?whistling.gif

ladies and gentlemen, here we go. the first expert remark on Thai economy. keep it coming to amuse me. it's a boring weekend and the markets are closed.

I am no hexpert Naam ,i think the baht will stay high ,i am just gently taking the "p" as we know you tend to know everythingsmile.png
