I have a 1.3 litre car that was costing me approx 1,200 baht a week for petrol, installed LPG, now costing 400 baht a week for same mileage. With a "promotion" in Pattaya cost 19,000 baht to install,
thats a very surprising figure, so about 6 months and the installation has paid for itself, then the real savings kick in.
so with your 800bht a week saving, will you buy a trailer becasue you cant fit anything in the boot anymore.

While it's quite possible to live a fairly comfortable lifestyle here on 30,000-50,000 baht/month, don't overlook the need for savings and/or health insurance. Vehicular accidents are much more common here than in the west, even if you don't actually drive. I've seen bills for repair of broken bones and rehab that are routinely over 100,000 baht and can get to be as high as 300,000 baht. Remember, health care isn't free here for foreigners and the only obligation of the public hospital is to "stabilize a patient" -- not provide stellar service or rehab for foreigners who claim they can't pay their hospital bills. The private hospitals will simply send the ambulance to the public hospital if someone is unable to make a hefty initial deposit upon admission.
Again, the fairer sex speaks with wise words.
After 47 posts the guys have established the price of lemons, that electrified lives in a castle and hello dolly lives in a tent, and the guy from wigan is a troll

ok, I am a frequent Manchester flyer myself I know you refer to ethihad/emirates/qatar airlines.
so as a real start to your flying experience and getting on the wagon.......fly with swissair, its now cheaper than the above 3, a night flight all the way and you only get a glass of water and a crappy piece of chocolate.....but with swissair you will get back on time for sure.

As a matter of interest and economics, why do you want to do this.
DO you anticipate a much higher mpg (km/litre) or will you be saving significantly at the pump.
I read that Lpg vehicles can scrape only 2 or 3 extra mpg and yet to buy the hybrids new adds such a premium that its not viable. Just hearsay though.

Why name place after a chef that is going to leave? Too bad Suzie Cucina.
There was a fish and chip chef in a small Yorkshire village 40yrs ago, business was very local, and then it went downhill; then it was bought, and bought again, and it went worldwide and the little old man in that little Yorkshire village, now has his name at the very top of the fish and chip trade.
His name was Harry Ramsden...

You smell a troll
I think you hit the nail on the head there. 51 years old and having to count his cetongs. (I am sure you know the correct spelling) I wonder if he was the guy about a year ago wondering where he could turn them all in?
I do have to disagree with you about 2 in one room. It works quite well for me and the Mrs. In fact it has been a fantastic journey. Living this way you learn to respect them and trust them and being from two different cultures you learn about the other one and get to see some of the finer points in it. The rough points I have learned to over look. Except for the one if I ask a question and the answer is yes I get a grunt. Maybe that is just her and not her culture.
if you follow the question i have answered the question ELECTRICMAN hasnt

I have talked about this one not so long ago.
One of the most respected companys here is Kulsrisuwan; they deal in all gold and diamond trade.
They have branchin Nimmen Road, and at the chang Puek end of Proprokklau road.
But why buy bullion from a dealer here, when the safest is to shop and buy online, then it can be bank vaulted without the risk of it being stolen. Then when the price peaks and you want to trade in, simple-online again. Buy it and forget about it unless you think its trendy to have an ingot around your neck.
....and dont "thread" like another OP "where is the safest place to hide my gold" even my comments are not that stupid.

pipo1000 I really don't know rock you crawled out of and obviously you have never been to Britain. If you have you were back-packing and on a very strict budget.A lot of British food, not all may I say, is wholesome and delicious. You don't have an idea about what you have just said on this forum. The Old Bell serves very good British food at a super price.
Sorry pipo1000 you must be French!
It is bland as heck! I would rather eat rubber!
allow me to throw your comment on another thread right back in your face
Don't listen to the disrespectful comments, there are a lot of fools on this website. A great rule to follow, well done

The sale of this place isnt a secret if you peruse the TV classified, its been for sale at least a month already.
I was surprised also, as it seems only very recently to have opened- on sunday walking street right?

70K per month for doing nothing. That's great, why thinking about working? Explore Thailand, go see other parts of Thailand than CM.
Team up with the guy from Doi Saket.
he wants a job not an addiction

I was feeling a tad lonely once not so long ago.
I joined a local crochet club and it has filled a void.
thats far too clever for most on here; brilliant

I was looking for the "healthy option" which is it please?
-
so what have you been doing here for the last year, why are you here because you have no real qualifications.
Its nigh on impossible even if you are qualified.
I suggest you become a ladyboy; at your age you might be able to "pull it off"

Good call. The firestone units tend to flip over and spill your junk all over the highway!and if you are supersticious a "good year" is the brand to get.
and if you can fill them with 365 condoms; then its been a "very very good year"

every time i go past the yang see jiang, my girlfried says "ooh paeng paeng"
Yeah, but can you get prawn balls there + 28 and 34?
I dont care if they give away free inflatable beach balls; if its "paeng" its not for me.

A friend of mine in Phuket, an Aussie with a few bars was made a BIB, badge, gun the lot. Apparently it was a surprise to him, he was nominated due to his respect with other bar owners, tourists and the local community.
He sort of became like the "village father" despite the fact he isnt even 40 yet. I am not sure of his role though, probably part time as he has a chain of bars to run.
Laser Eye Surgery
in Chiang Mai
Posted
I had laser eye treatment about 5/6 yr ago but in the uk. Apart from the two holes in the back of my head I now have 20/20 A1 vision., and on a good night I can see as far as the moon.
I was shortsighted and wore contact lenses, not unlike sex, in and out every day but this was a ball ache.
I recall my prescription at the time was -1 which was ideal. it was a 100% guaranteed succcess rate; BUT i recall the limit was -2 or -3.
If you are over -3 forget it, it has little chance of 20/20 outcome because they are burning off too much of the lens to re shape it.
ok its not that bad, they told me, if you imagine the thickness of a hair on your head (if some of you can remember). the laser shaves off about a 200th of that thickness!
The procedure literally 10 minutes each side, just like when you had the snip!, some severe stinging afterwards, thought you were going to die etc etc!
but my eyes are still the same after 6yrs now, no deterioration but it could happen.
It cannot improve reading eyesight though as this has to do with eye muscles weakening (i believe),
but i think almost everyone who had it done will say "the best thing i ever did"
hope this helps for anyone considering having it done
