My Mrs must spend about 100 hours a month trying to work out lottery numbers from posts on her FB ! She's won nothing. I keep telling her that nobody in their right mind would give away winning numbers - let alone see into the future - but , hey ho Told her we will start a regular competition - she can spend 100 hours a month trying to work out the numbers whilst I will simply take the last 3 numbers off the last product we bought bar code. Pretty sure we have about the same chance ! As for winning the lottery, just £60 on 4 numbers on UK lottery. I won the lottery with my Mrs and adopted daughter I think, so money would be nice but not important

I'm pretty sure if I held a go-go and beer festival it would be more popular than all of those 12 put together ! -
Economic Growth Forecast to Continue Despite Inflation Rise

If these figures are in any way based on nonsensical 10 million tourists, then I feel a late Q4 adjustment coming- 1 reply

I am sure many of us remember waking up the next morning and coming down the stairs to be greeted by last nights pub smoke on our jackets - but we still went out the next week. Coming down to your jacket smelling of fags AND curry would pretty much make me give up nights out - not that the wife gives me any anymore !

There is a collective noun for people working hard to send money to ladies that do not want to work. Look joking aside, my wife when we got into financial issues with my tenants not paying, went out and got a security job, you know one of those ones working on a gate 12 hours, 5pm to 5 am or the other way round, 300 baht a day. I took care of our child. Can YOU honestly see this - what seems to me highly strung, hi-cost lady - doing the same ? During covid I was stuck in the UK, I had to pay Bed and breakfast, other bills in UK and send money to my family in Thailand to live. I only sent about 26,000 a month, and that covered everything, rent, electric , food, clothing, etc - And guess what, the mrs still found a way to live comfortably on it. I suggest dumping this lady before you go mad or skint - sorry.

Considering that rise is less than inflation (assuming 12 in the box), I think you got a good result -

The US bidder failed the screening test. Be very interesting to see who was on that committee ! Considering lowly Turkey got on the final 4 ! -
Newborn baby found abandoned at a bus stop in Samut Prakan
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
She had 9 months to plan it did she not ? More than likely, she was pregnant by an old boyfriend and the new one said it's me or the kid. And since I - and my wife - was given a child by the mother on the day it was born, who gave us that sob story before marrying a 3rd party, I have little sympathy for the mother who could give it to loving parents rather than abandoning it. It's not like she even dropped it off at an orphanage -

How can we save money living in Thailand?
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Ah, buy a pick-up, the latest mobile phone, all the mod-cons, live on take aways , borrow ridiculously and live well beyond your means without a plan to pay it back. I like your out of the box thinking.- 207 replies

Seriously ? I imagine the potential for Myanmar invading Thailand is pretty remote to say the least.

Cannabis-infused food and drink products are not for everyone
RichardColeman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I do not smoke and do not do cannabis - my advice to anyone on medication is check with your pharmacist first if it will effect your medicine. I myself take some tablets that 'can' have severe reactions to some herbal/flower plants and have been advised to stay well clear of them.
